Subject is quite simple.
Suppose you made it, either by luck or skill, or a bit of both, you are now crazy rich with a franchise and boatloads of money...
What would you do with all that?

Would you be 'livin da good life' with caviar and champagne every day?
Buy the best and most expensive tech?
Enjoy some other hobby?
Would you focus on supporting other artists?
Would you maybe do a bit of charity?
Do you have a lifelong desire to buy one super expensive thing? What would that be?
Would you maybe instead just take care of people you love?

Just tell us about what you'd do... Remember, we are not here to judge you.

My part, I have two big 'dreams' sort of speak... One, I have many friends spread throughout the country and It would be a dream come true to get us all together.
So one of the things I really dream of doing is like, building an apartment building and bring us all together to live close by, so that would probably be the most extravagant thing.

I do have one thing I would feel best for, see... the main character of my story is an anthropomorphic manned wolf, and I know they are an endagered specieis, and I love them so much and wanted to help preserve them... I even looked up details on how to legally take care of one, but I don't have the money to buy a property large enough for one.
If I had the money for it, i'd build a natural reserve for manned wolfs, that would probably be the most meaningful thing I think I could do with tons of money that doesn't revolve around me per-se.

As for luxuries, i'm quite a simple guy, my life would probably not change much, i'd just get a few more expensive fruits (dragonfruit comes to mind <3) and foodstuff that I don't normally pick because of budget constraints, And I might update my pc a bit more frequently,
I'd definitely buy a better chair, might even have one custom made so it doesn't hurt my back as much.

I'd also be more willing to give back to the folks here at tapas, and other small artist,
Help get some other works going and growing as well ^^

To pay mine and my parents mortgage

:sparkles:extravagant :sparkles:

pay mortgages and student loans, buy a parcel of land nearish to a city and make a tiny-house community on it and move my grandma to it so she can always have someone to talk to and a garden to grow and so, so many bird feeders to watch. maybe rebuild my aunt's old house that was my dream home (it got torn down a few years ago) and buy a functioning car to get my friend to work every day so she doesn't have to spend so much money on uber/lyft

....and buy more BJDs probably....

besides paying my student loans...
ngl i'd probably still try and live in a small apartment
but make it a mission every time i go out and eat tip the waitstaff $100

maybe pay a random kids student loans every now and then

get the Sony Aibo dog

Well... If I were a rich author I think the first thing I would do is buy a house for my mom and younger brother, because we always lived in apartments, counting the money for rent and such.
Then, after making sure they have a nice roof that no one is going to take away from them, then maybe a small house for myself too

I don't think very big tbh, so I can't tell anything else by the moment.

I saw a post on tumblr that was like “if I were rich I’d Get a fake mermaid tail, get diving lessons and some other things, a little bag, and some gems. Swim around waterways that are popular enough that someone will be there usually but not so popular that there’s a bunch of people, swim up to them, give them a crystal” so probably that

If my work ever exploded to the extent that I became crazy rich from it, the reality would be that I'd be run off my feet with all the work that level of fame and popularity brings with it. I'd be:

  • Continuing to write and draw my stories.
  • Dealing with adaptations, because I don't like relinquishing much creative control, and would want to be a very hands-on advisor.
  • Signings and other event appearances.
  • Whatever else comes with the territory of big success, those three were just my immediate thoughts.

Though, what I'd want, after all that settled down, would be:

  • Buy a cute house in rural England for myself and my partner. (He's from the UK, and we want to go back.)
  • Spend all my working hours on my comic, and have somebody else deal with taxes, merch, online store, everything which isn't comic.
  • Spend my non-working hours exploring the UK with my partner and our little dog in my camper van. Which I'd probably bring over to England with me, because I love that little van.

day in the life...

i wake up in a king size bed. to my left is adam driver. to my right is chris evans. I decide to let them sleep in because we are going to the yacht club later.

i get out of bed and put on a ball gown. i make myself diamonds and cereal for breakfast. i drink coffee with sapphires in it. quentine tarantino wants my input on his latest film and i tell him MAYBE.

i take my corvette around the pool for a drive and then drink champagne out of a real human skull.

I'll like to tour the world, live for 2-3 years in the big countries, explore them, meet new people, learn new things, all that stuff. Oh, and donate to orphanages. Yeah, that's all I'll do.

Spending all my money on blow and hookers.

Well, I guess I would mostly just use it to not have to worry so much anymore. No more time wasted on trying to earn money somehow and just continue writing. And depending on how much money I really make, I'd start giving out to others who need it. I've got a bunch of friends who could use some help. There are also some local charities that I'd look at and see how much sense they seem to make.
But "living the good life" isn't really my thing  All the things I really want aren't that expensive, I don't need a private jet (because I'm scared of flying) or anything. I'd just need someone to help me figure out how much money I'll need and then I'd look into ways to give the rest to others slowly, not all at once.

I'd buy the farm of my family, as of now I wouldn't been able to buy it even with bank loans (without getting me into depth i never could pay back)

Then I'd fix all the broken stuff and reset the whole production to Biological-farming. Of course I need some cows  Also I just need to make a nice appletree garden for people to relax in with a little coffe shop

So after all this work I'd have a small but pretty farm I tend to while keeping on drawing as much as I like. And in the evening I sit in my garden and enjoy the sundown...

Get a tiny house, buy some forest acres, and then start buying empty train cars, and abandoned storage bins (like those really big ones) and convert them into living spaces for the homeless, and as a "home base" for my businesses and my non-profit I'm trying to get started up. The non-profit is called To Be Honest, and it's all about homeless rehabilitation and therapy.

After settling any debt/mortgage/other payments and finding a house to settle into, if there is enough money afterward, I might hire actors and a production crew to make test reels of my story. It might not ever be a full movie, but even having a fake trailer would please me immensely.

I'd get 346 dogs, one for each room in my mansion. Each dog would have two butlers and a diamond studded collar. Then I shall travel around the world alongside my chimpanzee named Pickles, collecting one dog from each country. A simple dream for a simple human.

Edit: this is serious. no joking.

First things first, hire assistants to help us realize all the projects we want to make, which includes at least like six comics and two games (and maybe 10 other things I haven't heard about yet) xD
I'd buy a nice place for my mom, travel to other countries (haven't been...in a lot of places), try to establish a mysterious inn based on one of our comics in Ireland, that would be perfect; buy a small house on the Spanish seaside and traditional house in Japan... and then spend my time creating all those projects anywhere I want, Asia or Europe, surrounded by a few cuddly dogs and helping small creators and artisans of various talents all over the world :smug_01:

@jkb4753 @sorible you guys. You are the chosen ones.

I'll buy a comfy small house in a rural area in maybe some country in western Europe.
Hire professionals to do my projects and travel around the world in my free time.
