Do the titles of your webcomics/novels have meanings?

Synastry is astrological term it means:

comparison between the horoscopes of two or more people in order to determine their likely compatibility and relationship.

I chose this because I wanted astological term as the title, and it also has meaning. In this world people have elemental powers and different signs and elements react differently, in powers and in personally. im the end, everyone has to work together to survive.

I think this has been a thread before, because I remember explaining my title. Anyway, in short, my novel is called fair, no fair, because Simon is unreliable as a narrator and has a different view on things as other characters, so I want the reader to question whether actions by characters, both by Simon and other Characters are fair or not fair. Why I named my story Open Flame is because I thought of how moths are attracted to fire, and when too close to the flame when you hit it you can die. (If I got this wrong there's no way in changing the title haha).

Basically it's about moderation of everything. , For the moth symbol meaning metamorphosis and change of a human being, and how there has to be balance .The flame symbolizes desire and if too close you singe your wings and can die.

I'm kind of ranting but thats some reasons why I chose the comic title Open Flame.

Also when I think of Open Flame I think of magic.

The End of All Things is an obvious reference to an event that happens in the novel's prologue and is referred to as such throughout It's also played off as a bit of an over-dramatisation by the MC because though society collapsed and loads of people died, the natural world carried on, like when a lot of apocalyptic "end of the world" scenarios IRL really just mean the end of humanity rather than the world as a whole.

Yep! Secunda is also Latin and it means 'Second' and one of the overall themes of the book is about second lives. The Latin also ties in with scientific nomenclature since one of the main characters is a monster who has yet to be scientifically identified (as at time of the story, his kind are beasts of folklore, like the yeti).

This is a really nice question!
My webcomic is called "An Intern's Tale", and It's a fantasy story (That's why I use "Tale") where the main character, a magic student, to gratuate has to complete the Sabbath: a year-long journey that puts a magician's skills to test, the purpose of which is to get the credits needed to obtain the diploma. So He has to work as an intern during his journey, and the journey will also be interior, because the boy will grow and became more confident on his future! ^^

I think my novel title is pretty clear and understandable, but first I named my novel " Magical worlds : the adventure of the three continents " , then I realized that I must change it because it is too long and the world where the story will take place, doesn't depend on just three continents .

So yeah then I decided to give it the title of " Age of Magic ",
And I can explain this by that the humans didn't use magic in the past till one day..., this idea from where I took the title of " Age of Magic "

I actually really believe my webcomic's name is pretty dang obvious. It's about a guy on a road trip across America trying to keep his zombified girlfriend cool so she won't decay, and the comic in turn is called All Good Things. So, uh, fill in the blanks I guess?

My comic is called Nevermore ^^ One of the main characters that have a really important role in my comic is a raven/crow. There's also the plague doctor uniform that resembles a crow also, so I thought it would be cool if I named the comic after a poem by Edgar Allan Poe called The Raven which has a crow that says "Nevermore".

The main character was accidentally killed by the god of death, his life and future were taken from him.

For compensation for the mistake, as they can't just give him his life back, the gods are allowing him to relive his first attempt at life a second time, because he no longer has a future to live through.

Crow's Worth has several meanings.

Crow is the main character.

His last name is Worth. Worth is not a family name but the name of his magical race which is known for having high amounts of psychic powers. However Crow is someone who feels worthless. I wanted him to develop over time worth in himself as well as in other people.

Alternatively, if I wanted him to have a smaller role down the line, then the title could be used as a joke.

The title of Sky Garden is less of a metaphorical meaning and much more of a literal meaning, in the fantasy world I made, a war of the gods cause all of the landmasses to be shot into the sky and are perpetually hanging there in the sky, so the kingdoms became gardens in the sky...so...Sky-Garden.

The title for Deathblooded is a very story involved meaning. The MC is the bad guy of the story, a dangerous, blood-thirsty and extremely powerful assassin who has necromancy magics in spades, one of their titles they have is The Deathblooded General. So they use Deathblooded as their assassin name.

Now, this one...Shrouds and Stilettos, the name was based on the phrase Cloak and Dagger, The phrase means something enshrouded in mystery, intrigue and often spy work, but most importantly, secrecy. The couple of the story are two princes: one a fairy and the other half-elf and half-dragon, the two's kingdoms are at war with each other for decades and the half-dragon prince offers his hand in marriage to the fairy prince to stop it. The two have to go through droves of secrets and mysteries to find out what caused the war.

Now, Paradise Academy not only is the name of the story, but the name of said magic college, it was called Paradise Academy because the people that started the school picked that name because they wanted the school to be a paradise for the students: somewhere they didn't have to be afraid, could just be regular people and not worry about others seeing their magical abilities or things of that sort.

The Weirdos in 1642 I feel like that title is pretty, self explanatory. The story was inspired by the Addams family, the Munsters and similar stories of that random goth family in the neighborhood, but there is more to their story as they...may not be entirely as they seem and the town they move into is extremely 50s Americana style, but is modern, so...the family is refereed to as The Weirdos in 1642.

Genre: Science Fiction Futurism Romance
Rain...it's a super simple title, but with the story, the world was ruined by global warming, leaving the world these dangerous, extreme examples of all different biomes: deserts so hot the sand melts to glass, tundra so cold that the snow forms needles in the wind, amongst other things of that sort. The MC is from a city/country formed in the ocean, to escape the heat and weather, the city was built in huge glass domes under the surface and because of how the world is names like: Rain, Sea, Wave, Leaf, Tree, Stone, Sun, Cloud...environmental names are common, Rain is the name of the MC. His fiance's name is Scarlet and all of her siblings are named after shades of red because they are from a desert city that was built underground and using the sun to their advantage. Because the cities did this to escape, they altered their DNA with genes of animals resulting in animalistic forms: the MC Rain, his family has adapted to the ocean via oar-fish DNA, Scarlet's family are king cobras. So...the title being Rain and the MC being named Rain, felt fitting.
