Do you draw storyboards for your comic? How do they look?

I draw the ugliest storyboard ever so it doesn't interfere with my creative process. I tend to lose my mental images pretty easily :'D

I work the storyboard in two stages. First is the Complete story divided into small thumbnail and page, and second, I rework every page:

How much RAM does your PC have? I've been battling with wanting to do a HUGE swath of pages at once but have fears my computer will hate me past a handful.

Sorry for the late reply, my PC is pretty well off in the RAM department (not in the hardcore levels, but still good), so I don't have too many issues with art programs on it. Because of that I can't 100% confirm this for certain but I believe that clip studio paint treats the storyboard as thumbnails, as in they're not all open at the same time (and if you double click them you will open them) so they should not lag you. If you double click and open them all at once though then yeah, you're computer will probably start to hate you.

Man, when I started my storyboards for Love Metal, I was was too over detailed. I should have relaxed a bit more.
It's funny, because I inevitably change the entire layout when I do the final draft haha I guess thats why i do these storyboards in the first place really

I guess how I do mine is a bit different around here. I visualize things the best when they are in color and have lighting, so I've been doing that recently. This is the page I'm currently working on.

And this is a future page, but planned out before I did the whole painting thing.

I guess I hated the original layout so much that I played it by ear. Way too many face shots.

I usually don't storyboard much anymore. I jump into loose pencils and then inking is where most of the work goes.

I do the storyboards for the whole chapter, before starting to paint it for real. They can get really messy, but at least I make sure that the story flows properly and I won't get stuck later. Plus, speech bubble placement is tricky for me, so better get it solved first. Here you go, a story page vs. the finished one:

My storyboards are just an incomprehensible mess, which is why if I don't follow up with the 'finished' pages within a couple of days - I can't understand ANY of the things I sketched out. Usually I can interpret but most of the time its just a huge headache because I'm too lazy to make cohesive storyboards.

I draw my storyboards in a notebook before drawing it again in Manga Studio EX4.

It's amazing to see how much can change between the initial sketches and the final draft. 8D

All I do is describe each scene in either a few words or a few sentences, in a notebook. Then Draw out the shape I need for each panel (albeit a panel composition in thumbnail form) on one copy paper. I do like fifty of those little things one sheet, and after penciling the actual page, I either erase the layout for another later one, or scribble over it to show that I'm finished with it.

Lately I work from an outlined script then loosely make some panel shapes and sketch like hell was after me.

I tend to fix things up and sometimes alter them a bit before lining and coloring.

Other times they're a bajillion tiny crazy pictures.
