Yup. The only OC I don't have problems with is my profile, mostly because I've drawn it so many times I often wonder how I got to it.
But then others I often get wrong because of simplicity. With complex character designs, I often memorize what they are, and it's easier to overlook one or two details. But with simple characters, one mistake can really show.

Happens to me a lot, especially since there are points in my comic where we could go whole chapters without seeing some of the main characters. Character references are really handy when this happens!

Haha this happens to me a lot. Especially if something is on the right or left side specifically. Things will randomly teleport, and I'll realize it a month later and will have to go back and fix.... xD

Yeah. It can get frustrating to have to look at old art to remember how exactly that character's outfit looked or which side they wear their jewelry on. Also if you've been out of practice of drawing an OC for a very long time it can take a little while/practice to get them right again.

Yes, defiantly characters that have a lot of detail like mechs and military coats. I sometimes trip up in remembering simple designs too.

YES. Military uniforms are a constant memory battle xD

All the time, both with characters I haven't drawn for a while, and with characters that turn up on almost every page. One of my main characters has a number of small braids with beads in, and I can never remember the correct order of beads. I'm giving him a simpler haircut in the next chapter.

I forgot how to draw Grampa Akujin once. It made me sad. I don't often mess up on designs, though, because I tend to create pretty distinctive and easily memorized looks.

Although I swear I changed one character's exact hair color a billion times before finally making a sheet.

I've tried making those character sheets before but every time I go back at them, I'm like "I can do better" or "I should change this and that"

all the time XD Especially with the hair, I always forget which characters hair is parted to right, is sticking out to which side, where it has loose strands, that's what reference sheets r good for though XD

When I first started off, yes, but it became ingrained into my head overtime.

I am overdue to update my character turnaround though.

yeah, you kind of... forget sometimes if ya haven't drawn 'em in a while... i feel like i know what they look like but when i actually draw them and compare it to their initial design, i realize i exaggerated or overlooked a feature.

That's happened to me with a female character of mine. In the first storyarc, I kept having to look at previous pages to makes sure I had her hair rolled to a certain side. Then once I took a hiatus(unofficially) from the book, I started drawing her and overproportioning her(she's muscular, but I was really overdoing it in my sketchbook). Just with the last few years(since i started back on the series) I started drawing her "correctly" again.

I had another character that had a Chinese dragon tatt on his head(he's bald)- on the left side. When I started doing the series again, I started drawing it on the right side- I had to go and correct it.

See, this is why I do all those silly memes with my OCs. I have to draw them over and over and over again until I can't forget.

Sometimes when I'm having an off day I'll forget a few important lines on a character or I'll try to draw them and I'm just like "Well... that looks horrible..." And start over. Lmfao

Yes, all the time. I really need to make reference sheets lol

Ah yes, yes it does >.> sometimes I forget that a certain character has a freckle under their eye or that another character has hair longer on one side along with a purple-ish split tongue.

Constantly lmao. It caused a bit of trouble when I had just left the hiatus. I kinda forgot how to draw one character and another character.....

I have super trouble with noses. Sometimes I'll make a nose too big for one character. And then too small on another character.
If the character has a mole/beauty mark/ scar i will have to constantly recheck where it is and size

And depending on the style of hair I'll need refrence. Big poofy hair needs more refrence since i needto know where it is parted and shaped.

And always for cloths i have folders and folders of drawn refrence for my characters cloths.
