I'm feeling a little bit of that atm, or something similar anyways. I've been on hiatus after dropping my most recent project for a number of months now. I've both been a little frustrated with my lack of new ideas to try out, as well as feeling a little relieved having a break from the comic grind.
For me, I enjoy making comics in general, but definitely like the art part of the equation way more than writing. As such I don't have a wealth of new ideas floating around like some people seem to have, and so finding a new project when one ends or is dropped is difficult
At the same time though, just doing standalone art seems unsatisfying in some ways- I like the end result, but I've been making comics specifically for so long that I just enjoy it more at this point I guess. As a result when I am on hiatus like this I tend not to draw very much either.
It's all good, but definitely a weird feeling, one that I'll be stuck with until I find a project idea worth investing time into which may take some time lol.
