Do you guys LIKE ai generated art?

Some of the stuff looks really good, but most looks generic and plastic. It will be a while to have style like a Jim Lee or the like. The animations are getting better and the finger problem has pretty much gone away. I don't see it as good enough to replace an artist yet as you can't easily change something as there are no layers, it's just a complete product now. I'm sure that will change. What I do see is lots of photo real men and (mostly) woman being made. It's crazy how good it's getting.

Honestly... I like getting a root canal and having surgery at the same time better than I like AI generated images. The only thing is good for is showing you how NOT to make good art or references at best.

No offense, but I have to be honest. I hate AI generated images.

I do not like AI generated anything. Even those reels or whatever the videos that show up in my Facebook feed are called: If there is an AI voiceover or narration I will close that sucker as soon as it starts.

AI looks wrong, sounds wrong, feels wrong, and is wrong. Some day it might cross the "uncanny valley" and make me hate it a bit less but for now I just find it to be creepy and lazy.

AI stuff all has that same look to it. It's all overly detailed yet dull and boring. You can smell the AI from a mile away.

I think most of it is sort of ugly, especially the photo realistic stuff and the Pixar-style stuff.

However, the anime stuff sometimes looks half-decent. I wonder if it's because that kind of AI has been in development longer. I remember using stuff like Artbreeder and Waifu Lab long before the AI craze blew up. Tho, I don't think people should be using any of it to sell a product. I've seen people try to use AI for their comics and it looks like a disjointed mess. A lot of errors that would have been easily fixed if an artist was drawing it. I also think that there should also be transparency of where that anime image library is pulling from. Because how it is now, it's just theft.

No, not really. AI generated images (I refuse to call them art) are ultimately soulless. Human-made art, on the other hand, is a lot more interesting because it has a human-made charm that AI images lack. No, I do not use them.

Nope, and not just because most of it is a mess but also because it's ethically wrong. It's a waste of resources built on plagiarism and brought about by the general disdain for artists. I also don't like people who unapologetically use it because "I'm broke, I can't afford a cover" like there aren't alternatives. I guess no one had covers before AI.

AI "art" is plagiarism. It's not about how much effort was put into art, suffering doesn't make you a better artist. It's about the thought and creativity, not asking a machine to think for you instead of expressing your imagination

i use it, but i don't like it. i wish i have the ability to draw i just use it to inspire me and get me out of writer's block. i don't want credit for it i do it for fun.
