Do you have any biases towards your characters?

I've found myself in the odd position of having a character I really love writing but I hate myself for her character design, and that's the newly-mobile sentient soda machine "Bev." She's had a really positive response from readers because she's kind of a sassy bitch (she's really awful if I'm honest), but oh my GOD I hate myself for making her way more complicated to draw than the rest of my characters. I really wanted to try and get across the haphazard manner of her construction so she's all tubes and pistons and hinges and poorly-fitting shirts and aprons, but uuuugghhhhh it takes three times longer to do. Don't get me wrong, I love her and she's one of my favorites but I'm kicking myself.

All of my other characters are pretty even, no real bias there. But Bev... oh geez, I leave her until last when it comes to inking and coloring.

Oh god the pain is REAL.
One of my character has this design.

And LOTS of closups.
The only saving throw that he's so far an episodic character so I won't need to draw him more than for a couple of pages.

I draw my favorite characters on higher layers.

Not really. I just draw the most complicated designed ones first to get them out of the way XD

Of course I have biases, my comics universe has 200+ characters. I am trying to work on everyone at least once though.

YES. I have a bias toward my novel characters because they don't force me to draw them every week. xD
So I actually find myself enjoying drawing them in random illustrations and doodles.

I think it's off and on, and I bounce back and forth between favoring different ones. I might envision a character to be the lead to start, but I like to give all characters the main character treatment, if that makes sense. The story doesn't revolve around the characters, and every character as important as they are unimportant.

I also noticed I like to inflict physical pain on characters that get the most love from me, so I guess things even out.

An intentional one: For my main character, Rocky the rock, i put an extra effort in the shading so all the scenes involving him look more epic for the sake of humor.

Sliver i've liked the least cause she was a mild parody of mainstream character designs/writing and her muscles are a bitch to draw. Everyone thinks she's hot and wants snu snu so I guess it balanced out in the end.

I love all my OCs, but it's hard to deny that I tend to give way more attention to some of them than others, haha. Especially the villains...

I dunno. I think I have a subconscious bias toward Pollyanna. A lot of her chapters and dialogue comes out the best, I think. Regardless of how much I like her, I just find her to be interesting. She's this iron cold woman with a wounded heart underneath it all.

Also I have problems with drawing Billy from Hexameron for some reason. Literally no pictures aside from the comic pages. I need to draw him more, he's a really cool guy.

Not really, but I certainly like them differently.
My main character irritates me, because we have very different personalities, and he's pretty immature. I still love him, but would probably not be able to spend much time with him IRL. But, I really like drawing him, he's probably the character I like drawing the most, although there may be a tie.

On the other hand, there's another important character that I hate drawing (to the point that he looks different in pretty much every new panel.. ), but I feel closer to him, because our personalities are clashing less.
