You can still find my fanfiction on FF.net and AO3. I actually have a pretty decent readership between the two sites despite not having posted anything in awhile. I've also used Tumblr but that's not a very good publishing platform. I don't like how you can't track how many people have looked at a post unless they reblog or like it.
I've done fictionpress.com in the past for original fiction but that's a rather quiet/dead site. It seems pretty dang impossible to get reads there. I've also posted on Deviantart in the past and am toying with the idea of posting on my own personal website/blog.
I'm also on Wattpad. I'm not impressed. I like reading on Wattpad but as a publishing platform it's very biased against new authors. I get the whole "social" aspect playing a part of getting readership but I absolutely hate the so called "forums." There's very little rhyme or reason to many of them which makes it hard to interact with anyone without feeling like you're yelling into the void. I also can't stand that the majority of people's advice to get more readership boils down to "lol, just talk to people and have a pretty cover!" I didn't expect insta-audience on Wattpad but I at least expected to be able to find upcoming stories with less than 2k hits and 300 votes. Their system kind of discourages discovering new authors...
Sorry for turning this into a rant of frustration about Wattpad. I don't mean to belittle it for anyone who enjoys using it but I've grown frustrated with it.
