Do you share your Comics with your family?

Well that depends on what you consider family. I was actually referring not only to mom and dad but also to wife and husband type of family xD

Yes, I share and talk about it with both some of my closest friends that I see and talk to often and family, although not everyone in either category, and definitely friends moreso (just because they're closer to the target demographic and would be more likely to enjoy my stuff where as my family thinks it's cool that I do comics, but wouldn't really enjoy the content I do very much).

One thing that always makes me smile though is over the last year and a half I've been working on my comic, I'll occasionally show up to a party with some like friends who I don't see super often or are just kind of acquaintances and they'll be like "your comic rocks, dude!" to which I can only reply "omg, you've read it?? tyvm!". I know some of these peeps quietly follow my art pages on social media, but like... that they were interested enough to even take a look at all I think is pretty cool~

My parents know I'm drawing a comic, but I've not shown it to them, and they don't ask. They don't see me drawing very often (I live on a different continent) so if I don't bring up the subject, they don't think of it. I'm neutral toward them reading it, so I make no effort to show it or conceal it to them. They saw a few panels.

My spouse recently edited my first chapter (I have yet to implement the changes), and the feedback was amused but rather negative, so I'm not sure if I'll ask editing for the next chapter (apparently, my characters are too North American for the fantasy setting, my main character too bratty and the story too difficult to understand. Thanks ).

I did not show it to any friends locally because I'm not a very trusting person and I'm too afraid that it will be shared to the wrong persons. I'm still adapting to living in a place considerably more judgmental that where I was living before, so I don't really want to add new problems.

I did show it to a selection of old friends, internet friends etc., they are generally uninterested by comics in general, so they don't really care.

So I'd say the interactions I have with family and friends about my comic are very limited.

I post it to facebook and I have them on facebook. It's up to them if they want to read it

I think that is the reason I dont share with m spouse, To dont get demotivated by someone who really dont dig comics xD

I don't share with my parents and definitely not with my brother. My family... doesn't really understand this type of stuff. They're more into like real sports, game shows, sit coms kind of stuff.

My husband is my only family who reads my comic. He has contributed some ideas and seems to like it.

My mum follows me on facebook, so she sees it, but I would be very surprised if she actually read it. My dad doesn't read it - despite being the person who got me into comics in the first place. He listens to me when I talk about it sometimes and promises to read it eventually, but eh. My brothers see it on instagram but they aren't too well versed in englisch.

I stopped trying. I guess they might go for it, if I ever was successful/good enough for a physical release (in german xD), but that's far off in the future. I would love to have the people close to me care about what I spend my time on, but I guess with my family background that's not realistic. I have one or two friends who read it, my ex didn't and yeah I get bitter about that. I will always keep going as art is one of the most rewarding things in my life and I will never stop pursuing it, but sometimes some support from them would be nice.

Because of that I am super extra thankful for the handful of people who read my comic, it just means the world for me especially with those circumstances.

Hell no because my parents, tho they act like they are nice and supportive, they are the most critical people in my life. (They have been overly critical and nasty to my little sister recently and it is causing huge amounts of stress). I think my parents think I write comics like Mutts (super wholesome, bland, cutsy), I don't think my parents would much care for the subject matter of my comics.

As for my siblings, I think they just won't care. I dunno, I don't really have supportive people in my life.

My parents encourage my drawings. However they sometimes want me to stop drawing comics and want me to draw everything else. Like my dad wants me to draw cars to appeal to the typical bogan to make money.
My mum wants me to draw celeb charactures to sell online. (Especially Chris Hemsworth for some weird reason.)

I'm not too comfortable with drawing that kinda stuff. Cars I get but real life depictions of people is another thing mostly because its gotten me into trouble more times than naught so I try to stay away lol.

They sometimes show my art to distant relatives to "show me off" considering my siblings are considered wasted potentional in there eyes I presume. Yknow, going to prison and being into drugs and everything at some point or rather.

But other than that, They don't actively follow my comic or anything. Although my dad did help me print out my first issue of JETX roughly about 10 years ago so I could get it copyrighted or something. They keep the very first drafts under lock and key in a safe in the house.

Mostly because they say they wanna cash in on my success if I make it big one day they say lol.

I definitely share my comics with friends and family. My wife helps me come up with ideas, due to our shared experience doing missionary work in Southern California.

There were about a hundred other missionaries I knew/served with in California who all follow my comic. In fact, my family and friends on the mission were my original audience way back in 2014-2015 when I started. I like to think that Golden: Chronicles of the Hastening is an inside joke between me and them, with other people happening to hop on board for the fun.

Sorta? My family knows I have a webcomic and the basic premise but I don't really encourage them to keep up with it due to the fact that it's gonna get real gay real fast

Only my sister, but she doesn't actually read it. Apparently I'm not exempted from her "I'm gonna wait until all chapters/entries are uploaded" rule when it comes to shows, comics, etc.

My family loves to read and they knew I used to like writing when I was young. So they were pretty excited to read my stuff! They occasionally read my latest stories and if I'm particularly proud of a piece of work, I'll tell them to read it. It's also heartwarming when they share it with their friends (even though their friends probably won't appreciate it lolol).

Some of my friends have seen what I wrote. I'm more picky about who I share my writing sites with since I don't think some of them like reading. I'm happy that a few of them have subscribed to me and some even support with ink!

Both friends and family have given me a little feedback here and there but so far, I haven't shown them the latest story I'm working on. I'm torn in between wanting feedback from them before writing, and wanting to surprise them.

Well my mom and my brother are aware and are supportive but they don't help in the process. I have friends who know and sometimes they help put but it's not really a topic of conversation when we hang out.

I'm extremely vocal about my comic among friends, but I'm definitely more secretive about it near family. Family knows I have a comic, but have never read it, and I don't know if they ever will any time soon.

I have two friends I constantly bounce ideas off of for my comic, and I'm forever grateful for that.

The only reaction I've got is a polite show of interest. They clearly don't interested neither in genre nor the medium, and I constantly feel a suppressed "son, when will you drop this stupid crap and find yourself a normal job?" reaction as well. Although maybe the last one is just my paranoia.
