I’m doing alright with my comic but I highly doubt to ever get featured with it.
I think the format (drama comic strip) is not what Webtoons is looking for. Also, my stories aren’t really targeted at kids or young adults. They still can read and enjoy them but I think Webtoons is more interested in stories directly targeted at them. You know, adventure, fantasy, romances, highschool dramas, coming of age stories... Stuff like. While my comic is more about the shenanigans after you settled down...I guess XD
On top of that, I’m over 700 strips in. By this point it’s even more unlikely to get picked up.
I’m not bitter about that. Not being featured doesn’t mean your story is crap or that you have to give up on it or change it. I’m happy with what I’m doing and how I do it. And that’s a good thing.
However, I do hope to get noticed with another project in the future, which (hopefully) is more up to Webtoons target audience. We shall see ^^
