I kind of do, but in the opposite direction lmao XD
Like, I'd read stuff and I think 'I don't want to be any of these people' - and that drives me to think of better ways to handle their situations and avoiding their pitfalls
Or I'd see a character and think 'I really want to teach this character something; tell them there's another way' 0 which also provokes some serious contemplation about life that can end with my thoughts wandering off indirections I haven't tread before
A tangent shooting off of your tangent; I feel like playing board games have helped me think more clearly about my choices in real life; less wrt being under pressure/in challenging situations, but more how I can achieve my goals, how I can build towards them and 'breaking the game'/taking less conventional paths people don't seem to think of that would advance some particular goal
(and I totally write the above insights into my own work and do hope that inspire others in their own lives, but I don't think that's what this thread was asking XD)
