I don't know. I mean, everyone here puts his comic online to get it read by someone. I think, nobody here does it for the lolz.

I don't really care about getting famous, but it'd be nice to have a small dedicated fan base or a few people who view my comic as their favorite and that's kinda what I'm hoping for.

Depends on the level of implied "fame". I would be good with making some decent money on Patreon, selling comics online at my site, getting decent money for commissions, and selling out of merch at cons.

Yes and no? I don't want to deal with an out-of-control fanbase who fights each other on little details/shipping, but yeah, I'd love to be recognized for the hard work I put into writing/drawing my comic. I think most people would like that recognition.

I think I feel exactly the same there. I don't want crazy world-wide renown, but if I could get to a place where I'm living off of it and have a decently sized fan base, I would consider myself 100% successful!

I love shippings, it's so fun to watch it, I mean if people ship your characters, it means they actually LOVE them! Also I love reading comments and theories, it really makes me work faster, also it gives me ideas for Bonus pages!
Also money is always good, plus you're making friends, and friends are absolutely awesome! That's how I've met some of my best friends!!!

For me, "famous" isn't necessarily a goal as it feels a bit ambitious, but I would like my comic to do as well as possible because I'm trying to make a career in comics. I went to school for it, even, so there's some added pressure on me to have some kind of success. But I'm still new at this, so right now, having even a couple readers makes me happy because it means I'm at least getting the work done

My current series is my trial run... a two+ year trial run...
It's part good stuff I genuinely like and am proud of and part pure garbage I hate and wish I had never made.
This just gives a chance to experiment and find what I enjoy doing.
Any attention it get's is just a bonus.

I agree with those saying that they don't necessarily want to be "famous" but would like to make a living off of comics. Sometimes the two feel connected, as if I can never pay off my student loans and live comfortably unless I become well known. But it's more about becoming successful than becoming famous for the sake of it.

I do feel happy when my work is recognized, but I think that's just natural for anyone who puts a lot of time into something.

Well I do obsessively check for new subscribers and comments so a part of me loves it when people read and like my comic, though too big of an audience would be overwhelming. My main ambition is to make so money with it, one day . . .

In an ideal world, I'd like to make a comfortable living off my art. Whether that's famous, or just niche, I don't know. But Laid in Lavender is my baby and I'm not in a great place right now so it's.. nice to dream.

Doesn't need to be super famous or anything, I just want a steady fan base who enjoy my work and comments from time to time. You know, just to show they care.
