Does anyone draw while lying down?

So I've been dealing with extreme fatigue and I find it very difficult to come home after work and sit at a desk. I have been trying to set up my computer to access it from my bed however I am still trying to figure out how to set up my drawing tablet.

Does anyone draw while they are lying down or lounging? Do you have tips?

I do all my work at home lying in my bed, I usually lay on my side propped up on my arm and use the computer like normal, although you can try putting the mouse on your thigh.

I don't have a drawing tablet though so I can't help you there...

Oh, fair warning though, it might be a good idea to have a heating pad handy. It can really hurt your side and shoulder if you do it for too long, so you gotta remember to take breaks.

This is curious cause I fell more comfortable when I'm lying in my bed (like now).
To work, to draw, to write... when I'm on a desk I can't produce so good as in my bed hahaha
But if you don’t have this habit it’s better to take it easy so you don’t sleep on the keyboard when you’re very tired

I do my work digitally these days, so it's rare for me, but back when I used to draw on a drawing board, I drew entire comics lying on my front on the floor. One of them was a finalist in the Tokyopop UK+Ireland Rising Stars of Manga! (Yeah this was a long time ago).

My advice would be to get a decent lightweight drawing board. I love Rotring ones personally. Other than that... I dunno, there's really no reason you can't draw well while lying down.

If I had a good enough iPad or that Cintiq that you can take anywhere then I'd definitely draw while laying down.

I do that sometimes when drawing on my phone. One time I was drawing while propped on my elbow for 3 hours. My arm was sore for days and I had to be careful when bending my elbow.

I used to have a good overbed table (those with wheels that look like a hospital table) and it was the best desk ever. I moved now and still haven't bought another one, but it's in the list.

If you get one of those tables, make sure it's firm and doesn't tilt too easily.

It is possible one of my favorite ways of drawing!
I like to lay on my belly with a pillow propped up under me. It is a habit from my teen years

Now I will see what I do, after I got my new computer, were I can use the screen as a tablet to draw direcly on

I have to sit at a desk to draw properly, I used to draw a bit more "laid back" but when I started having muscle problems, that was not an option anymore.

Carpel tunnel survivor here to say don't do this. Don't draw when lying down. Sitting or standing without resting your arm on anything is really the best way, and you don't want to fall into bad habits when you're in your young 20's to get carpal tunnel like 4 years from now like I did.

I wait you mean laying down on your stomach? Yeah I do that. And yes, my back is terrible. I usually draw laying down when I don't wanna get out of bed but had a stroke of inspiration to sketch out

I'm not in my young 20s. I'm 29 with chronic fatigue and I am seeing a doctor to find out why.

I used to draw a lot while laying on my stomach, but it messed up my back so I don't do it anymore. I miss doing this, but I like being able to move. </3

Truth! I used to draw on my bed when I was younger but had to switch to a desk or something upright because my shoulders and elbows would go all crackly and I would ache!

I've done it before, but I never really had a great range of motion while drawing. Sometimes I do sit up in bed and draw which is super comfortable! But mostly I sit at my desk because my drawing tablet is hooked up with so many ridiculous wires!
