thats a good thought
but i can bet that maybe 30 % of tapastic artists use the forums often.the rest just visit it every couple of months
also we dont know if tapastic even has the money for that kind of a change..
i only know HTML and CSS and honestly i can tell you that is a piece of cake compared to what they would have to do and use in order to make this "wall post thing " change . coding isnt easy and if tapstic owners arent programmers that means they have to pay and plan it out which could sometimes take months stuck_out_tongue ...for now this is just a couple of us venting : P

yeah. that is true. and i know that coding, programming, and implementing things isnt easy work. I've seen bits and pieces of what Yandere Dev has had to do to further the development of Yandere Simulator- and what problems can come up by fixing just one thing
I dont know the exact struggle with coding, programming, and implementing things, but i do have an idea of how stressful, costly, and time-consuming it can be
for now, its just venting and suggestions.. but later, it may be a separate post and planning out solutions

And just as we are here talking about this issue, there's a (staff?) post for those NEW TO TAPASTIC AND IT MENTIONS NOT TO ABUSE THE "WALL-POST-THING" laughing

It's not a staff post, just a user-made thread that got pinned by a staff or a mod.

The problem is that people have different definitions for what constitutes wall post "abuse." Some people think it's nice to say hi to their readers on their walls, while others (like me) WOULD VERY MUCH RATHER BE LEFT ALONE!!!

well it briefly explains the difference between using and over-using the wall-post-thing (I really have no other term for it...)
like an example it gave was using it properly would be making posts that would affect the readers and/or series in a big way
and for over-using/abusing: posting a "random drawing", "asking what everyone is up to", "live-stream spam", etc
sweat_smile
It's actually helpful and somewhat humorous (to me anyways.. but i've been ditzing out and/or giggling all day.. so it may just be humorous to me right now..)

while we were talking here ..2 more shared a post with me

its not the worst case.but this is an example

It bothers me, I'm subbed to enough comics that I get at least a few everyday, it's a constant source of disappointment to see that red bot when its not relevant to my comic activity. I don't mind the messages, I enjoy reading most, I just wish they weren't lumped in with my comic activity feed. frowning

Dude, I would politely send them a PM about how you're considering unsubbing from them not because of their comic, but because the wall posts are getting too much. And if they don't slow down after that, I would unsub.

Considering doing that for one of the creators I'm subbed to. They don't make posts OFTEN, but the posts they make are all ramblings, no important announcements.

Yah, it's kind of frustrating when people use it so casually. I'd rather people just used twitter for things like that

i never really understood why peope want to post stuff they are doing

In one comic I was following before, the creator made posts similar to what you posted above. Sometimes he would post 5 times a day with stuff unrelated to any of his comics. It got to a point that I unsubbed from his comic. Now what I noticed is some of his followers would reply to his posts making it like a chat room. Maybe thats the reason he post a lot of stuff, because his followers replies to the post even if it's unrelated to his comic.

thats a minority vs the majority..even someone that has 20 thousand subs can tell you that if he would do that maybe 50 60 people would talk there..which means if you do it non stop you are annoying 19950 subs.

Yeah, but they wouldn't know they're bothering the others... Unless somebody tells them.

This is exactly why I rarely share a post with my subs. I'm pretty sure that in all my time here I only shared a post once because it was something important.

If I have news about my comic I just add it in the discription of the next page. If I'm having a bad day I'll just call a friend, I'm not going to bother my dear subs with random stuff while getting their hopes up that the notification might mean someone subbed or liked their comic.

Personally I unsubbed a comic once because the author thought everyone should know what they had for dinner everyday. ^^;

I think for the most part one I really only have one person that does that on my sub list. What happens then is it's a random statement and gen when a friend replies it comes up over and over telling me someone replies ect and my box is basically the same thing with a conversation between the two.

So it does get annoying. I use it once or twice but that's about it. If I have something I really need to say about the comic or a rant I post that to my blogger. Or to friends on Facebook but not on the walls I normally just reserve that for something important.

frowning I understand completely what you are talking about just thankful I have at most 2 people that do that, I'd loose my mind if all of them did.

ony my 5th day on tapastic i saw this as an issue...it makes me woner how they havent realized it yet
