I was wondering if there was any way of changing the episode number on certain episodes of my series? I don't want to change the order or take any episodes out or add any episodes in, I just want to know if I'm able to change the number associated with the episodes. I have a special episode coming up soon (number 50) and as I have a guest post in place that I'm not counting as an official episode, episode 50 will show up as episode 51. This will also be a further problem going forward as I already have a couple more guest issues that will be published before 100 that I won't count as I do my 100th drawing. So just wondering if I can change the episode number of my guest post to a 20.5 or a 20(b) or something like that so that issue 50 will show up as number 50 or will it just be the way it is going forward unless I delete a page?

If I understand your question correctly, then no, I don't think it's possible to change it. Readers don't see any number next to the episodes in the left sidebar unless you choose to write a number there, so I assume you're talking about that line on top of each new episode where it looks like this:

I don't think it's possible to change that one, I'm afraid.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure it's impossible to do. In order to combat this, I label each page with the chapter number followed by the page number (i.e. 4.1, 4.2, 4.3, etc.) This has worked pretty well so far!

@Aetherwing That's actually a really smart idea!
@johndanims One option is you could go back and edit the names of the other episodes to use this method. A bit of work, and maybe it doesn't work so well for your comic, but I think it's the only way to achieve what you want.

Yeah, thanks guys. That's the part I was talking about. If I was doing a more narrative driven comic I would probably title the pages like that but it doesn't really work for what I'm doing with the series I have at the moment. It was mainly for the landmark episodes such as 50 like I mentioned above. It'll just need to say episode 51 while my title says it's 50 and I can put an explanation in the description like I already planned to do anyway. Would just be nice if the numbers matched up.

Just as a side thought and not one that I need to know about now, is there a way to slot an extra page in, for instance if you did have a narrative based comic and you wanted to add a prologue at the start at a later date can you change the order of pages or would you need to edit every one to update it the way you wanted?

I think you'd have to make edits to every episode...someone asked something similar a while ago: http://forums.tapastic.com/t/possible-to-change-order-of-episodes/7127

A lot of people have asked for ways to reorganise episodes, but I don't know if the staff are considering it or not.
