Maybe it's because I wrote for the audio drama company for a long time and would, when I created characters for the weekly show, have to have in mind which actor we were going to use. In this case I had to think in terms of voice and what accents they could do (if the character I was creating had one).
I find it carries over, sometimes, to straight prose as opposed to dialog script.
So, naturally, I've picked an actor I love for Bright Morn of Issareth. It's not just looks (although they don't hurt) but it's based on some of the acting I've seen him do.
