That was probably just a sign of your growth as an author! I'll read things I wrote just last year and cringe at some parts because I know I could do a much better job today. It's not that my stuff last year wasn't good it's just that I've continued growing as an author

@kmlangleyauthor what hints and I am on to them :thinking:

I also like hidden in plain sight clues because I’ve put quite a few in and I’m waiting on someone to pick up on them  this last chapter that’s updating now is my favorite so far and I’m excited to see reactions

My new favorite might be the chapter I’m writing now. The opening scene is soooo good if I do say so myself :smirk::smirk:

Yeah now I'm curious on the hints as well haha

(I should really try to include more hints and clues, but my foreshadowing tends to be in easily forgettable story details)

It has happened with some of my funniest episodes

And hope it happens again in the future.....

My most recent chapter introduces George, a character that I have been so excited to bring in. He has some of my favorite dialogue out of everything I've written. I'm very proud of him.

I can’t tell you cause it would be #spoilers  they really are super subtle, too.

I try not to read too much into possible little hints in other people’s stories in case they take the plot a whole different direction than I expect. I try really hard to just read and enjoy what’s happening, but I also think that’s why I enjoy rereading so much. That way, all those little details that I was determined not to read too much into the first time, I can fully enjoy and appreciate their existence the second time around

I neeeeeed to knoooooow!

I like to hear theories so I can know if my little breadcrumbs are effective, even if they’re wrong. I don’t want to get to the reveal and everyone’s like...what? Not in a shocked way but they think the story is going somewhere else.

someone figured out something about my story and I’m still mad about it :joy:

I’ve noticed a lot of people will comment on the reveal and 3/4 of them will have pieced it together for it to make sense but there’s always those outliers :joy: :see_no_evil:

See! That’s the thing! I was actually talking to another author who took a WHOLE FREAKING BOOK DOWN because one of her readers was guessing so aggressively and she just couldn’t take the weirdness of it! So I’ll formulate little guesses in my head, but I never want to put something like that in comments  and, I mean, most guesses aren’t going to be greeted with “yes, you’re totally right!” either. It’s going to be “wait and see!” (Which is understandable and preferable from someone who hates spoilers :sob:)

Oooh!! Now I’m curious! Was it about Aderran... and future * ahem * activities :smirk:
I’ll see myself out :see_no_evil:

Oh, I love guesses! I always say "maybe". I love saying 'Maybe'.

Ooh, I like “maybe” I always just channel River Song when people start guessing

For me, it's those golden lines that come out of the blue that you didn't even have to think about.

Those are the best. :heart_01:

Yes! I'm not a novelist on Tapas, but I have a comic series and I get the same way. I wrote Chapter 6 recently and I got so excited after finishing it, I might have laughed like a villain.

I've been waiting to work on this chapter since the very beginning. I hope my readers love it as much as I did while I was writing it.

Those are the best!! When you've just been waiting ages to reveal something!!

Yeah, I am currently writing that chapter! haha, I'm not even done! It'll be a while before that chapter becomes a comic (because I write at least 3 chapters ahead, so that I can go back and fix any continuity errors). Right now I am writing form the villain's perspective, to humanize them a bit. And its gooood. :ok_hand: XD

I actually have only one avid reader of my story. But when she reads it and start hypothesizing, and i know she's got it right sometimes, it really feels good.

Right now I'm celebrating because all of a sudden it just came to me how to tie up my story. Everything is seriously coming full circle, wow. There are so many parallels in my story and I am really proud of that.
