Everyone Starts Somewhere, What’s The Very First Comic You Ever Made?

Hoo boy you took me down a very bleak rabbit hole. I more or less grew up on the internet so all my old works are still floating around on DA somewhere.
This was my first comic about a cute bear called Kuma Chan I think I was 12 at the time? I've come a long way from using MS Paint and a mouse :')

Funniest thing is, I still write for this! I doodle now and then but it's mainly an incomplete novel, with many MANY changes.
There's the two popular rich girls and their awkward slightly younger friend, who lives in a haunted house, the nondescript, nice enough popular guy who's pretty much your Disney prince, the scrappy boy from the rough family and the white ranger style, time traveller bonus character who pops up rarely. They all have powers that were given to them through amulets.
I remember 12 seeming really far off and teenagers were old back then. 🤣

I love anime and this is what prompted me to write my own little action adventure series, yet I see this story is inspired by lots of things I enjoyed (still enjoy), it's pretty much Power Rangers/Clueless/Stand by me/Austin Powers.

@WOSTR this reminds me of a book that I made back in elementary school-- we had a program where each student makes a story and it gets published (hard cover and everything!). Definitely keep this close to you; you might want to revisit it once you're older (I know I did for my book!)

While my TRUE first comic were long gone when I was not even conscious about keeping it as my personal work, this is the earliest existed "comic issue" that preserved to this day. (omg I can't believe i post this)

Pages got yellowed and was badly scanned. You can see the Sonic influence and from early shounen mangas such as Yu Yu Hakusho. These childish gory battles complete with idiotic dialogues-- a masterpiece to behold

I used to make sonic booklets in elementary too; it was a whole thing back in 4th grade XD

I wonder if everyone goes through a sonic phase...

My first completed comic is a series called Terms of Existence on Webtoon. It was a miserable failure, but I learned a lot about file sizes and story clarity and readability from it.

I don't have the first comic I made, because that was all in paper notebooks from middle school that I unfortunately trashed later. (That was like 15 years ago)

But the oldest one I have is from my days on Deviantart, from like 10 years ago.
I used to draw these when I would get an art block.

I dont have the very first comics I made- I started drawing mini comics when I was around 7-8 years old...I lost a lot of my older material moving from place to place. One of the few things I have left is a comic I used to draw on notebook paper- I was a big X-Men comic reader in my teen years, so this comic series was patterned off of it more or less...

I know I definitely did older comics than this... but I'd have to really dig through old CD roms at my parents house to find them, so this is the oldest I can actually have to hand. I was sixteen, and the concept was it was the first page of a "pass the comic" game with friends.

I think the funniest thing here is you can tell I'm avoiding drawing as much as possible. The panels are so sparse, like oh crap, turns out drawing a comic is a lot of work!
