THIS!!! This is my first comic ever!! I made the first page on a whim which is the second episode in this series and everyone on instagram got hooked on to it so i decided to post it here as well

@WOSTR this reminds me of a book that I made back in elementary school-- we had a program where each student makes a story and it gets published (hard cover and everything!). Definitely keep this close to you; you might want to revisit it once you're older (I know I did for my book!)

While my TRUE first comic were long gone when I was not even conscious about keeping it as my personal work, this is the earliest existed "comic issue" that preserved to this day. (omg I can't believe i post this)

Pages got yellowed and was badly scanned. You can see the Sonic influence and from early shounen mangas such as Yu Yu Hakusho. These childish gory battles complete with idiotic dialogues-- a masterpiece to behold

I used to make sonic booklets in elementary too; it was a whole thing back in 4th grade XD

I wonder if everyone goes through a sonic phase...

My first completed comic is a series called Terms of Existence on Webtoon. It was a miserable failure, but I learned a lot about file sizes and story clarity and readability from it.

I don't have the first comic I made, because that was all in paper notebooks from middle school that I unfortunately trashed later. (That was like 15 years ago)

But the oldest one I have is from my days on Deviantart, from like 10 years ago.
I used to draw these when I would get an art block.

I dont have the very first comics I made- I started drawing mini comics when I was around 7-8 years old...I lost a lot of my older material moving from place to place. One of the few things I have left is a comic I used to draw on notebook paper- I was a big X-Men comic reader in my teen years, so this comic series was patterned off of it more or less...

I know I definitely did older comics than this... but I'd have to really dig through old CD roms at my parents house to find them, so this is the oldest I can actually have to hand. I was sixteen, and the concept was it was the first page of a "pass the comic" game with friends.

I think the funniest thing here is you can tell I'm avoiding drawing as much as possible. The panels are so sparse, like oh crap, turns out drawing a comic is a lot of work!

@Jophiel I cringe at my older stuff, but I'm not entirely sure if I've improved overall. I may have improved in certain aspects as in I draw more backgrounds and some stuff have technically improved, but I think largely overall and on a weird parallel style wise, I'm still the same and I may have a ways to go. I've tried to keep the dynamics- especially when I do action scenes, but I've tried to get better at doing quieter scenes, shots from different angles and such...but for some unknown reason I dont feel like I've quite evolved much.

Technically I have several rough ideas in old sketchbooks but my first proper comic is actually the comic I've been working on now for 3 years, so you can see how my artistic ability and story writing have progressed as time goes by!

Heres some info about it the comic if interested:

The comic is about a young girl that gets kicked out of an orphanage for her unpredictable powers and ends up getting taken in by a shapeshifter into a mish-mashed adopted family. she has to learn what it means to be herself, be part of a family, and uncover whatever the family's butler is hiding before its too late!

The comic has got aspects of modern fantasy, mystery, found family, and slice of life (as well as tiny bits of science fiction but thats far from the main focus). I'd probably rate it at PG-13 (specific Pages with PG-13 content are flagged as such in the episode tittles as well)

That's alright ! Progress is still progress. I think seeing the aspects or areas you've improved is already a good step towards the right direction because you know what to improve on and what mistakes you're possibly making (which doesn't come too much in the early stages of creating).
