@mrjonzap at this point in my life I cant say there is ANY solid story that we should hold our standards to. Everything has holes & flaws- some more than others. This especially goes back to a post I wrote sometime ago about me yawning at anime sometimes; most of the shows have some of the same elements bouncing around. It's one of those things where I like watching anime, because currently a lot of the action stuff they do far surpasses a lot in terms of animation, but if I watch too much of it I start to see the same elements floating around in every show and I cringe at it.
A lot of stuff I watch is primary for entertainment value on one level or another. I just finished watching Naruto on Netflix, and I'm like after the Naruto/Sosuke fight, they couldve kept the rest of that show. I onno, maybe they were contracted to do more episodes, but the rest of that felt like filler until they released Shippuden. I can see when I first started watching Bleach, I was there purely for the action, but a certain point- after the Ichigo/Aizen finale, I was like, "whatever". That ending was somewhat a big letdown to me, through the rest of the show, I didnt feel Kubo could ever recapture or top what he had done.
