First genre I wrote was like adventure/family. Maybe Rude Dog and the Dweebs meets The Lion King story-wise. Tight group of orphan puppies raise themselves and stand against bad dogs giving them bad rep. With basketball fights, street races, and barbecue competitions, oh it was a NOVEL. It was transcribed from my notebooks by a friend with a computer and printed on dot matrix paper (what a buddy, dang!).
The last genre I wrote for was drama (not including my comics writing). Young adults sort through loss, stereotypes, and social pains during absurd natural phenomena accounts and an annual alien visitation. A lot of the same themes from my very first story reappear in my latest script, too. With the exception that they're all human. And no street races or barbecue competitions... still a basketball fight, though. X]
