For those of you who draw on paper - do you keep your drawings after scanning them on the computer, or do you throw them away?

Keep them all, in plastic folders piled inside plastic bags...

Seriously, some of these are like 20 years old.

I used to throw out what I drew and I hate myself for doing that. I keep pretty much everything now if I can. They do take up a lotta space but I like having my old drawings—I can see exactly what I was into at the time I drew this or that and how much I’ve grown as an artist so readily

I also write the date next to them idk if I'm weird or nah hahahha

I do that too! I like knowing when exactly I did a certain drawing for future me

I don't draw my series traditionally anymore but I still keep the hard copies of the pages that were drawn on paper. You never know when you might need them in the future. I keep mine in those large plastic shipment envelopes that have bubble wrap and labeled.

I have been creating comics for a little while, and in general I like to draw traditionally, so it occurred to me to use school notebooks the lines help me to provide and if I draw It is not uncomfortable and by keeping all the notebooks they help me keep them in a specific place so as not to throw them away and keep them tidy in case of needing an old drawing, and always they keep well on a shelf or drawer if sold or used as original material ...

I have made too much art. It must be tossed.

True story, the first page of my first webcomic I actually posted to the web was done on paper--and I did each panel as it's own page...I went through half a ream of paper because I had no idea what I was doing.

I make an effort to keep all my original drawings. I have whole a filing cabinet full of old comics and other art, haha.

I use at least 10-20 pieces of paper every day since 5 years, I thought about keeping some but then they were just laying
around and now I scan them and when the scan is good I throw them away directly

I've been keeping all my physical art archived for a decade now because I don't ever want to lose them! To me its good to keep the old stuff so I can both have a point of reference, as well as old concepts I might not remember on hand anymore, or I want to show people some of my old works. During a time where I was digital only, I ended up deleting my account that had all that art on it, and then my computer died after. I lost a whole years worth of art, and I will always regret not backing it up. I have also lost some physical art due to moving or things getting misplaced.

But not anymore!!! I got a huge filing cabinet so I don't have to lose any of my stuff!

Always keeping them, they're precious to me and help me inspire myself. It's a lot of fun looking back and seeing your growth, and I love displaying them too.

Paintings/marker/ink drawings have their own folder and sketchbooks are uh...well sketchbooks. They're easier to stash. XD

Keep. Always keep. I've got stuff going back to 2008. Not everything is scanned either.

Well, I don't do tradition arts, but after I finish a digital piece, I always delete original sai file with all the sketches. I have no soul.
UPD. Some of early comics I've been doing in 2011-2012 are still hidden in my drawer somewhere though... Gotta burn 'em one day.

keep them as when you learn more about your style or anatomy or just drawing in general you tend to see errors in your older works and you have the urge to fix them and so if you haven't lined it then you are able to. In your case i'd still recommend keeping it just incase your harddrive or site your posting them on gets shutdown or wiped.

Yea don't throw those out. I keep every drawing for each volume in their own collapsible binder, separated by episode. Also, keep them out of sunlight

I keep them, I'm a hoarder xD Even drawings I don't even like that much, I keep them. And even if I wasn't a hoarder, if I did throw them away (perish the thought) my mom would take them out of the trash and keep them T^T I am not exaggerating by the way xD
