Free Male body Anatomy?

I want to up my game in the body department when it comes to men. Women have always been easy for me to draw but men? Wow men are challenging and a mans body structure is just so amazing “ahem”, moving on.

I want to know if anyone has anatomy references they can share, whether it’s images, links to images or whatever. I want to perfect my craft and I need references so I can practice during my spare time. I do wanna take it easy because I have a arm injury but I feel like for the past year, my art still looks the same in a way.

You may say, why don’t you buy books? Well they are expensive and currently I’m taking the cheap rout so anything helps. Thank you all. And oh, below is a picture of one of my characters. Lyosha from

This is going to sound weird, but if you're interested in anatomy specifically, I'd recommend googling underwear models, GQ magazine, and (if you're an adult) more... ahem adult content. I had the luck of drawing a lot of live nude models, but since I've graduated, I find that things of this nature are very helpful.

You should try skillshare. I have just started a free trial with them. I wasn't sure about it at first since it seems a lot like YouTube. But I have found some amazing classes that I don't think I would have ever found on YouTube. If you want the free trial, a lot of YouTubers and artists are being sponsored by them and they usually include a 2 month free trial in their video description of you can find one. Lol. I know all the artists I subscribe to have mentioned it. It would be free to start and then maybe you could afford the monthly cost when your trial is up. Or maybe you could just do the classes before your trial is up.

i know they are thought of as being "for old people" and full of dusty old books unlike the nice clean internet, but support you library while you can people, when they are gone the price of books will go up and sooner or later the internet will stop being free! have you noticed how sites are starting to make you subscribe to them before you use them. books are your friends they only ask you keep them away from damp, cats and small children with crayons.

CroquisCafe Is a series of videos on Vimeo and Youtube made specifically for artists to learn to draw the full anatomy (that way you don't have to watch porn, which I don't recommend getting a virus on your computer, just use CroquisCafe, it's free, it's safe) they do poses that you would actually draw, like riding on bikes, or interesting foreshortening shots, all with real models who are in a variety of weights, ages, and ethnicities.

Also, if you're just wanting to memorize anatomy proportions, look into Andrew Loomis (just do a google search, maybe add "male anatomy" to the search) and you'll get a ton of reference of artistic anatomy that has easy to break down proportion tips. Back in school I would go to the library and look up "artistic anatomy" and there were always several books available (so you may want to go to a college library, but I remember once I found an artistic anatomy book on animals and it was like the holy grail, so cool)

I mean, I went through the same thing, I drew women in an almost masculine way because I was so used to drawing men. My suggestion, there's a manga called Baki and I essentially learned gesture from that, so take a comic that has a way of drawing men that you really enjoy and you can study it, copying panels and such.

Honestly and this is the site I've used for years, Calvin Klein's underwear models on their website hahahahha They vary in builds nicely and some are more fit than others. You might not get that older sexy gruff man type, but you can extrapolate a lot of information.
