Give me some good/weird movies to watch

Yeah, thankfully I didn't watch Plague Dogs and Felidea until I was older. As for Watership Down, my mom bought that for me one day when I was sick in 3rd grade. :'D Needless to say, it didn't make me feel much better. The black rabbit still creeps me out to this day. I cannot sit through that whole Bright Eyes song because that thing just unsettles me so much.

In terms of weird movies with comedy in them, check out Army of Darkness, Monty Python and the Holy Grail, and Cannibal: The Musical (the latter which is a weird, but hilarious comedy that Trey Parker and Matt Stone made, that's based on a real-life story, but half of the movie is an intentionally cheesy musical with lots of comedy peppered in. When you get lyrics like "The sky is blue, and all the leaves are green...the sun's as warm as a baked potato! I think I know precisely what I mean, when I think it's a Shpadoinkle Day!", you know it's weird. Weird, yet infectiously catchy).

In terms of really weird musicals, I think it's hard to beat The Apple or Can't Stop the Music.

Now if you want a musical with some good songs, I think Xanadu might work.

*Peking Opera Blues (1986) -Amazing Hong Kong action/comedy.
*Mr. Vampire - Hilarious Hong Kong horror/comedy.
*Kwaidan (1964) - a collection of Japanese ghost stories.
*Yojimbo (1961) - Samurai movie about a ronin caught between two waring factions in a small town- one of the best Akira Kurosawa/Toshiro Mifune movies.
*The Hidden Fortress (1958) - 10 minutes into the movie you'll realise that you've seen this before... It's Star Wars with samurai. The classic Kurosawa/Mifune movie that inspired George Lucas and the Star Wars franchise.
*No (2012) - Chilean movie about an advertisement executive in the 80's that takes the job of organising a marketing campaign against a military dictatorship.

I've also been obsessed with Shane Black movies lately, 'cause I saw The Nice Guys in the theater recently and it was great. He has an earlier movie, Kiss Kiss Bang Bang, which is much in the same vein - a modern noir comedy - and is absolutely hilarious, starring RDJ as the unlucky protagonist and Val Kilmer as what I can only describe as the most sarcastic man in the world.

Any movie by Alejandro Jodorowsky.His movies are all really really really weird...try "The Holy Mountain".

Mr. Jodorowsky's movies aren't his only weird creations, he also wrote one of the weirdest and top comics i've ever read.. The Metabarons and Incal

I watched a movie called "Vamp" recently that was about college kids going to a vampire strip club and it was a really fun movie! It was super campy and cheesy but in the entertaining way! It was an interesting take on the vampire genre because it wasn't dark and moody like most vampire films, it had bright neon lights and abstract dancing and all sorts of fun stuff.

I really enjoyed She's the Man. It was about this girl who pretended to be her brother in order to get into his school. Lots of hilarious scenes

the moment you mentioned weird i immediately thought, the birds (1963), a classic. Also, perfume (2006). They kinda leave you disturbed dumbfounded at the end.
I also agree with the others about paprika! Amazing movie.

And omg how can I forget my fav Litchi Hikari Club (2015). It's tragically beautiful. If you like this then you should also check out Junji Ito's works.

Rubber is probably the weirdest movie I've ever seen. It's about a killer tire.

As for good... A Girl Walks Home Alone at Night is a must-watch. It's an Iranian romance film that has a Spaghetti Western vibe. Also, there's a vampire so that's cool.

John Carpenter's "They live". I think it's a great one, and with a very interesting and good message.

I also once saw a movie called 3 iron that really intrigued me.

Blues brothers is actually one of my personal favorites. So is the old Monty Python movies like Life of Brian and the Holy Grail. But everyone has seen those.
Even though most people I know don't consider them to be good movies at all I always enjoy the movies that has Bud Spencer in them. Nobody could beat up an army of evil goons like him. Go for it is my favorite.

There is also a french animated movie (and a series) called Panic au village, starring a toy horse, a toy cowboy and a toy indian. I find the whole thing hilarious.

Don't know if its already been recommended, but one can never go wrong with the 2003 melodrama classic The Room. Anytime I'm not in a good mood, I look up iconic scenes like "I DID NAWT HIT HER! ITS NOT TRUE! ITS BOWLSCHIT! I DID NOT HIT HEEERRR! I DID NAWT! Oh hai Mark!" or "YOU ARE TEARING ME APART LISA!!!" and all is right again in the universe.
