The colors are too dark but I see that you trying to show that she’s trapped in a small room. Interesting dialogue. Why didn’t you do digital though?

The backgrounds are beautiful! Did you hand paint everything? Also, school romance are tricky and hard to gain readers, wishing you the best.

Oh hecc, I'm flattered :'D And yeah, I do intend for it to have a bit of a melodramatic edge! I was debating between its primary genre being slice-of-life or drama, but ultimately settled on slice because the first arc is mostly pretty undramatic and I was worried people would get bored with it if I tagged it primary drama XD

Since your comic sounds like adventure and fantasy, the first page is where you should heavily focus on a huge detailed background. The more the better. That’s how you pulled people in.

The more crammed panels are only an issue for people who have trouble reading/zooming into things on your phone. I don't have any issues with it personally, but if you want your comic to be more accessable, then I would recommend spacing and enlargening your panels more.

I kinda agree. It seems you have received some brief half-baked advice alongside a critism leaning strongly into an attempt at being super gentle. (that was a mouthful, sorry lol)
The advice is coming from the idea that studying realism is beneficial to your drawing, even if your drawing is heavily stylized. Basically, you must learn the rules to break them. You take the knowledge you've learned from drawing realistically, and then apply it to wherever you see fit. Even a brief study and practice into realistic anatomy can go a long way into helping your art improve.

The art is beautifully drawn! Love the character design too. The only thing I could see some flaws in is the spacing of the panels, they’re closed together so it’s hard to take a break from the page while reading.
