I thought it was a bad dream.... so you say that it was real??? That show did happend?
Oh my

My only other He Man knowledge was seeing an article in Wizard magazine listing upcoming films. I remember seeing them announce a He-Man film and a Thundercats film, neither were ever made. This must have been in 2008-ish with an expected release date of 2010 or 2012

There was also this version in 2002. I remember it being pretty decent.

No that is the main character of the non-he-man show Teela.

There is now so much evidence that I have drowned myself in sadness.

The show is all about Skeletor beating He-Man and getting the power sword.
Then when the hero is out Teela will be the new hero.

Skywalker all ower again.

IMHO if you are going to do an alternative story and change the characters, then proclaim it and I will be curious to follow.

But showing this trailer and gives the nostalgia style only to cheat you into something else is crap

As a kid. My friend had an uncle that took his Skeletor action figure and put it on He-Mans tiger.
We all freaked out and my friend started to cry.

30 years later we still talk about that episode over family dinner.

And now. Skeletor has the freaking power sword!!!!

Deceptive advertisement is a dick move.......and illegal

Smith got a lot of flak for doing that. He said it was suppose to be about He-man but he's apparently missing for most of the season.

And that’s fair. That's what I love about She-Ra. I knew it was something new and I loved it for what it gave me.

And a story about a fallen hero can be good too, if told right.

But this looks like a big pile of too many division in a LOST series and they needed some hype to get people interested

Honestly, I don't mind the idea of a story where He-Man vanishes for a bit and everyone else has to figure out how to pick up the pieces afterwards (It's not an original story, but I've always liked those types of stories when done well) But I do wish they were more up front about it being one of those types of stories as opposed to "Yeah, it's just He-Man punching dudes for 10 episodes straight" like they seem to be trying to market it as going off of the trailer.

Yes! Please give me what you advertise

I'm excited too! That 80's style translated into modern era looks fantastic!
It's like western jojo's part 1 aesthetic

Okay... So I have watched it with an open mind.
It all feels like a standard RPG game with great action but no skip button between battles.
Everyone in here could write that story.

Not sure what I pressed there. Whoops.

Anyways, my partner and I watched the first episode and I’m not sure if we were supposed to be laughing that much. :sweat_02:

It felt like they crammed a lot in there and stuff was happening at super speed. Maybe it was always like that? I don’t remember :see_no_evil: and we couldn’t remember most of the cast either.

It does that all the way. No time to tell a good story. Just some crammed stuff with lost opportunity between some nice-looking battles.
No characters getting established, it is so poorly written that it hurts.

But Mark Hamill is a treat and the animations are stunning
