So first off. The premise of the comic is where a human boy is trying to survive in a world filled with giant monsters, dragons, and demons. He is the only human in the whole world.

How should he have gotten onto the planet?

I hope the rich 5 year old protagonist with the demon caregiver comes into fruition

That sounds AMAZING! It's like he was raised by a demon. But when he tries to do all the things a demon can he finds himself slacking. But the demon guardian just encourages him in the fact that everyone has different strengths and weaknesses.
Then through the demon being a higher member of society they use their influence to try and find a way to teach the mc magic or some other skill that will help the mc down the line.
But we shall see what the masses decide!

I find the 16-20 year old being raised by a kind dragon to be interesting; some maturity is already there while a long living creature with age-old wisdom takes care of them. That and being the only human in the world who was some how born there is, to me, unique and strange in terms of process

Well the lore I had already come up with. Was that yes the mc is the last and only human on this planet. But that doesn't mean that was always the case.
like the parents died to a mass killing of humans and he's the only survivor. I was thinking for the comic if it would be a great twist that the guardian did the last few killings and then spared the child. After all how much trouble could one human cause? That or someone else did the killing. TO answer where the child came from. Beyond that i think you're idea is interesting!

Ok so update should something tie I might do a mix of it like the guardian poll. Should it tie I might have the mc be taken care of by both a dragon and the demon.

On lore-wise i was thinking should there be some surviving humans? They just arnt on the planet because they fled to a different world using a magic gate.

Next thing I was thinking humans had two types of magic the other creatures in this world could not perform. I was thinking this magic is part of why the humans were killed off.
The two magics they could perform was shadow magic witch can let someone do necromancy and teleport to even manipulate souls, this would let the mc interact with the souls of slayed humans.
The second was clockwork magic. This ability would let someone create clockwork animals and weapons. To even down the line creating vehicles or even a mechanical dragon of sorts.
So should the mc have

• Clockwork magic

If you do go the clockwork route, I don't think you'd need to make it magic? Just have regular old tech. Tbh I think that'd work better with the whole human thing anyway, since it'd make them...actually human lol.

It could still make sense with them being killed out, like if they start making guns and bombs and stuff I'd imagine the other magic creatures would get a bit pissy. Or you could go down the pollution route?

Oh! That's interesting! What I meant by clockwork magic is that they can kind of summon/ create clock work creatures...like those clock Pokémon that are a set of alive moving gears. To yes sitting down and creating mechanical weapons. The magic of the clockwork is something typically passed down in a family line. The more the line progresses the more that individual knows how to make. This typacly can skip over generations. But well see what everyone picks.

Yes. Yes they can.
It is like tough love. They are harsh so that the child can survive the cruel world waiting for the child. Because unlike the world they care for the child.

Note: I plan on making this a black and white comic

So the next major question, who or what is going to be the villain.
Well what i was thinking. I have two main concepts that go off the lore idea that the remaining humans fled to another world through a magic gate.

(1) The villain is someone who wants to use the main character as a war weapon after seeing how destructive humans are. To what war they would use them for? Well, I was thinking that there should be different tribes of demons against each other fighting for the vast and plentiful human territory.
The dragons aren't entirely involved in this war. They're mostly a neutral part towards such small problems.
Another part of why this villain would be interested in the mc. Is the fact that humans were the only race that could defeat an Althea ranked monster. (Basically, a huge monster that devours any creature in its sight. That also is very intelligent so it's not easy to trick twice. It's immune to most elemental magic. Except for four magic types. Light, shadow, fire, and clockwork.)
(2) The villain is the creation of a previous clockwork magic-user and wants to kill off all the magic creatures so then it can bring back the humans so it can finally rest in peace. Obviously, the mc would not appreciate somebody trying to kill their guardian or any of the other magic creatures they bond with.
