I'm currently working on a comic for fun in my spare time to get past a severe art block and chemistry stuidies that I am 99% sure is a cruel way of testing which kid will try to leap out the window (located on the third story of our building).

I'd love to hear some ideas, and possibly collab with some of you! I'm looking for some inspiration smile

thanks guys, happy new year!

honestly, i think you already have your idea. use your setup: a kid has an upcoming chemistry exam that he is studying quite seriously to pass.

then make an inciting incident: an experiment he is working on goes wrong and:
a) he turns into altered being with super powers.
b) he creates an altered being with super powers... and is potentially wild/evil.
c) he creates a potion that temporarily increases his intelligence, but makes him forget long term memories as a side effect.

create whatever fits your style and preference. push your protagonist up a tree, then start sawing.

to break an art block, i'd recommend just going with a limited one-shot for your possible story. at least until you're done with your chemistry studies. good luck with both! smiley

Well, you've got your story! A cruel test for kids, where they jump out the window one by one. It could be random, it could be focusing on each of their minds and what makes them jump out the window. Who is strong enough to stick to the end? A sort of Battle royal for chemistry studies.

Well you cannot go wrong with the undead, what about a middle school zombies tale based off of a child genius's chemistry project. That sounds like it would be fun. I thought high school of the dead was a great indie zombie movie, so something in that vein would be pretty fun.

i would love to give some ideas... but i need to know more about the situation / what's going on...
any link to this comic?
