I have a ton of favorite books/movies/shows that inspire my art and writing in general, but if I had to narrow it down to a couple, it'd probably be these:
Brandon Sanderson's Stormlight Archive books and his world of Roshar inspire my comic's visual aesthetic somewhat and my writing in general. Can definitely be credited for sparking my undying love for high fantasy as a wee ten-year-old; The Way of Kings was the first fantasy epic "for adults" I read and also my first real obsession lol
Robin Hobb's Realm of the Elderlings books are probably my #1 favorite book series and her brand of slower-paced, character-driven storytelling inspires me a lot ^^
Studio Ghibli's Princess Mononoke will forever be a favorite of mine. I really enjoy the lack of clear-cut villains. There are some pretty morally-bankrupt people in my comic, but I've tried to imitate this as a writer and I think my conflicts are less black and white for it. Ashitaka is also one of my favorite protagonists in anything, and as a result I tend to write my main characters with a similar pacifist-hero archetype.
Otherwise, I've also drawn some inspiration for visuals, themes, characters, and story ideas from the 2003 Fullmetal Alchemist show, Jonathan Stroud's Lockwood and Co books, the anime Demon Slayer, and the game Dragon Age: Origins, among other things. :]
