How BIG is your series?

Mine is currently 5.49 GB. That's 1014 full sized pages + resized jpgs + thumbnails.

My folder has 4.04 GB of files, in it has concept works, released works, unreleased content and full resolution drawings.

My script is on a separate folder where it contains all of my stories that I've written in the past. The script itself is 335 KB, and the document for annotations and lore is 4.5 MB.

Work in progresses are 7.1 GB, it also includes finished .clip and FireAlpaca files of the previous chapters.

Everything basically adds up to 15.64 GB. I suspect that by the time I finish my story the files should be around 100 GB on the low end and 150 GB as the highest. It'll be one big and phat folder.

OneDrive is only one of my backups. I also keep a copy of everything on my computer, another on a thumb drive, and another still on a removable SSD. The OneDrive is my "if my house burns down" backup. I also use it because I can edit stuff on my work computer, and it's included with my MS Office 365 subscription

I've just heard and seen too many horror stories with OneDrive that I would never trust it as a buck-up for anything haha. But good thing you have it on separate storage devices!

Little ball of hate is 70gb, Spec5 was 26 gb. Spec5 was in a different format and was only about 1/5 the way done so would have been much bigger.

I just checked and it seems that ‘Married to the Duke of the Abyss’ is currently 32 gb. I do keep some other stuff in the same folder but that’s roughly 500 mb. The real killer in terms of file size is that I don’t really clean up my work file of miscellaneous layers just in case I might need them later.

Mine is pretty ambitious and I'll show you from my Mac.

That's counting 7 chapters out of the planned 16. That shows you massive and ambitious my comic is (that's what from working on 7.5x10 on 600 dpi). It might to the might be the point it may break my external hard drive (don't worry I use cloud). It'll get bigger from here.

Yeah, I learned the dangers of not backing up a few years ago when I had spent days scanning old family photos. Had half a terabyte worth. A few days later I turned on my laptop and the Crucial 750GB SATA SSD in it had packed it in. I sent the drive back to Crucial and got a free one under warranty (they actually sent me a 1TB model as a bit of an apology) but the photos were lost. I still have the physical copies but after spending that much time and losing it all I never bothered scanning them again. I did learn my lesson though! Several backups, including one in the cloud!

I also learned that using a brand name drive is no guarantee against failure

Mine's 17.3 GB.

I'm surprised so many of yours are larger, since I make full-size images along with the various resized versions. I also do 3D renders or photos for most of the panels, too. Although I am not surprised that @allenT's is bigger than mine, given how many prep drawings he does.

On the other hand, I don't have large .psd or other working files for most of the pages, it's not necessary.

For 10 years worth of all 3300+ pages (original and resized ones plus thumbnails) The Cat, the Vine and the Victory stands at 110.44 GB completed.

For my other series it's around 800 pages (original and resized ones plus thumbnails), and currently at 43.65 GB

I've got a couple of backup drives of everything just in case.

A little over 1gb. Everyone here is making me feel like my finished comic is minuscule lol my next comic is like 5 times the size in length of this one though so it's likely going to take up at least double the space
