First, make sure a link to your comic/novel is in every social media profile you have, including your forum profile here.
Also if you're on twitter or something, make a post about your comic/novel with a link is pinned. Post on places like twitter, tumblr, instagram and tiktok regularly when you update, or especially if you hit a decent milestone like 100 subs, 500 subs etc. (But don't start making up really minor things to celebrate as milestones and do them too often, people will notice and think it looks a bit pathetic).
You should also make sure that your cover, banner and blurb for your series look as good as possible. Marketing always goes further if what you're marketing has good design. If you're not sure, you can always get feedback.
Get on the Tapas discord and introduce and promote yourself there. Make sure again, your link is in your discord profile and the name of your comic/novel is in your bio! Participate in as many Tapas events as you can (that you qualify for, obviously, if you're not black, don't muscle in on Black History Month... I know that seems obvious, but I've seen dudes jumping on Women's History Month because they have a female main character...).
Find creators making work with a similar vibe and be friendly and supportive of their work! If you strike up some friendships, you may have allies for things like banner swaps and cameos. If you're an artist, do some fanart for a series on Tapas you like with a similar vibe and tag the creator on social media. This is a great way to get seen.
