Despite me writing a novel, I find it increasingly hard to just sit down and write, heck I am posting on forums instead of writing! :sweat_01:

For me I make art instead of writing! So I am curious how some of you put off doing work!

Here's some art as proofs :cry_01:

Posting on forums, replying to comments. The most efficient way I've found to beat procrastination though is to work on my other stories when i don't feel like working on one.

I have two novels here so i can flip-flop:

OMG two novels is actually a great idea! when you are not in the mood for one, maybe the other can strike some enjoyment!

How I procrastinate on drawing:

1) Waste time on forums, sometimes social media.
2) Draw some overtly dramatic or funny illustration and render it to heck and not publish it.
3) Draw teaser/promo art
4) Read, though I hadn't had motivation to do so lately, so I'll just sleep, eat or clean.
5) Watch Youtube vids on gaming, which has nothing to help me draw.

edit: go on a long hiatus XD

I have other projects to choose from as well, but I'm procrastinating on them too XD

I LOVE that animation, btw!

I haven't written a full chapter in freaking seven or eight months. So safe to say, yes, very much so.

I actually have a huge backlog o content so a hiatus hopefully won't be necessary :pensive:

Also thank you so much! I'm new to animating but the best medium to practice is certainly OCs!

AND NUMBER 2 UGH I FEEL THAT. I draw something with the intention of posting it to reddit or Twitter, and work hours on it! And then in the end I'm just like: meh? And never post it.

:sob: the life of artists

I've got several art projects "in the oven" so to speak, including a follow-up to the Night of the Chicken Wing FDW/Friar Chicken crossover that I still haven't finished. Also, my Elsie tribute hasn't been finished, I've got to do a DTIYS for MK Wizard and an art swap for Skidiggy. Hopefully things will be calming down around here in a few days and I can get to all of that!

That sounds like a ton! I hope it does calm down and you can power through it all! Good luck!

My biggest regret due to procrastination: Taking almost 10 years to complete my story.

One of my remedies for procrastination: 30 minutes of silent Shavasana.

Now getting back into writing and completing a story worth reading.

I try to make a schedule as much as possible, but life really gets in the way >,<

Here's the first report Azure writes for his mission. As objective as this is, soon, he will gradually acknowledge his emotions and learn that there is more to life than what he knows.

Letter Addressed To The Fire is a store told through letters, documents, news articles, diaries, journals, and the likes, aside from the perspective of the protagonists. Join Azure and Caramella Red as they explore their emotions and find solace amidst chaos... and maybe even build a relationship that can stand the test of time.

-

Synopsis:

Twelve years ago, Azure Skylar, the Knight of the Cross of the unparalleled syndicate, the Chapel, was favored by the Pope himself to work on a mission that would determine the fate of their entire group against their growing rival, the Empire.

Twelve years ago, Azure met Caramella Red Aberdeign and found a friend in her. For once, he knew rest, quiet, peace, and comfort. Little did he know that Caramella Red was also the infamous Sweet Crimson, the ace assassin of their growing rival, the Empire.

A mistake, a wrong decision, a missed opportunity, all wrapped in the same regret that led to the ink on paper weeping about all that should have been said and done before time came and went. A story inspired by Taylor Swift's Evermore, Letter Addressed to the Fire will take you to a trip down the star-crossed soulmates' memory lane and tell you about all that was only whispered in the wind twelve years ago.
