ASMR, heavy chris brown dance music on the background, eminem, i love listening to animal cafes or people knitting

A playlist with songs composed by Hiroyuki Sawano works for me at the moment.

To me, that can be anything as long as it 'fits' the project I'm currently working on. I have a different song for each novel/series or sometimes special pairings that I always listen to when writing them. Choosing one sometimes takes longer than writing the first chapter

I made a few playlists on Youtube for individual comics I'm working on, alongside a playlist that is just my favorite tracks from musicals. The overdramatic/melodramatic vibes from musicals are great for comic writing to me.

I feel like music distracts the critical/criticizing part of my brain and allows my to draw with out beating up in myself. Then I can look back on the picture and see I did a great job. Most of the time if I draw without some kind of slight distraction my mind becomes my absolute worst critic.

So yeah, music helps.
I listen to a mix of pop, rock, rap, nightcore, instrumental and such.

For me, I use different music to help me focus on different scenes. On one battle scene i might loop the Fields of Pelennor, on slow scenes i play jazz, and on chase scenes I play high bpm rock music.

Method to my madness probably

I listen to rock, indie, jazz, sometimes electro, folk, etc
i love most music tho lol

but yep, research proves that music does improve productivity with spacious/repetitive tasks (so like, listen to it while cleaning your room, not necessarily while doing your homework- in fact music has been proven to lower results in cases like homework, but anyway,) that productivity boost can definitely carry on to things like art! (which donโ€™t require much active thinking)

Lofi hip-hop if I want something ambient, or rock if I wanna get pumped, haha.

I can't think of one particular type of song or instrumental that increases my productivity the most. My productivity fluctuates with different types of music.

Most classical instrumentals and nature sounds recordings help me concentrate when I'm drawing or writing.

Any song with lyrics that I like helps me stay motivated to finish coloring a picture.

Instrumentals and songs with lyrics help me think of creative ideas while I'm not drawing or writing. I don't even have to like the instrumentals or songs to get ideas in this state of mind.
