Yes -- you can do the same thing with Muse songs. So take a Muse song you like and do a bit of research. I've based comics on music all the time.
I look up the lyrics and then I look up the meaning -- from the source (which is the artist). What do the lyrics mean to them? What tone and vibe were they going for when they wrote the song? What purpose did they have when writing the song?
Then, I think about how the song affects me. Am I happy? Sad? Overwhelmed? This step goes for Personal Feelings. Remember -- while songs have their meanings from the artists, people can get different meanings when they listen to them.
So you have four things: lyrics, tone, meaning, and personal meaning. Now...it's time to visualize everything. Listen to the same songs you want to convert into comics, and draw out the things you imagine when you listen. Also keep in the lyrics, the tone, and everything else you learned before this part. When you're done, look over your research and the sketches: what did you get from that?
From there, you can kinda piece together a possible story. That's generally how I do that. But that's not a one-size fits all. This is just a suggestion. THis can be done for any type of song. Any.
