How long have you been drawing comics?

I've been drawing comics for about 10-ish years (since I started middleschool), though I've made illustrated stories since about 15 years ago. Though I did not start putting comics online till last year when I had enough courage to defy my parent since, you know, the internet is a dangerous evil place with evil people and all that.

I have always been drawing.
when I was about 11-12 years old, I made my first longer comic. over 50 pages long!

But I heard once that it doesn't matter when you begin,
as long as you never stop!

I've been reading comics since I was old enough to read, but for some reason it didn't really click with me that I could draw comics if I wanted until much, much later. But since I first attempted a comic, it's been about ten years.

^This! My dad exposed me to comics as a kid then when I got older I started reading Manga. Then I saw one of my friends sketching comics then it hit me what I could create comics?! Inspired, I believe I was 13 when I started my first comic series. But lemme tell you, the plot was really cliche and the art was atrocious. But, I suppose we all start from somewhere right? :') 3 more followed suit and their stories got a little bit more improved, but none of them were any I was interested in continuing. So they were scrapped.

When I was 18, I began my first comic series that I was serious about publishing and getting out there. I'm still updating pages on it today :'D It's been about 11 years now since I started from that lame comic from middle school. if I ever find the pages, maybe I'll upload them on my deviantart or something so people can laugh with me at how disgraceful it was :') lmao!!

I actually started doing comics in my freshman year of high school with a Super Mario fan comic. Then my first serious attempt at a comic was entitled "Darkness Within". That was in 2006.So I have been drawing comics for 9 years , getting better as I go along. My current comic is entitled Seishin Patona.

Discovered Johnny Wander, and it inspired me to start drawing December 2011. My first comic was Cinderelic, an Adventure Time fan comic, finished almost exactly a year ago, and I've been making comics ever since!

I think I have been drawing comics since I was about 5. They were mostly fan-comics based on videogames until I was about 13 and started making original stories. However, I just started my first webcomic Shadosassins this year. I'm 25 by the way. (Not really sure why that last part was important)

I have only been drawing for two years, but I think in that time span, I have learnt a lot of things as displayed in my comic/comics. Unfortunately I am a beginner so in turn for having relative art skills, I take forever to make stuff.

Been drawing and imitating drawings since i got my first Donald Duck magazine when i was 6. From there on it was Suske en Wiske, Astrix & Obelix, Gilles de geus, Soeperman, Storm and all kind of Dutch golden oldies that inspired me. Since 2004 i've been drawing professionaly and since Tapastic more focusing on making comics for a living.

I think I started drawing comics at age 8... before that I drew pretty retarded Sailormoon (first year of primary school) and Disney Princesses (before primary school). Most of them were rip-offs of anime XD

hmmmmmm I've been doing story cooks since I was 5 but actually comics ..... 14 I think, as a hobby and got super into it at 18. Did some work for an indie publisher in Uni, the project collapsed never published. Then joined a OC tournie and went head deep in comics properly. after that I started up a webcomic that i ran for 2-3 years that tanked due to scripting complications and after a wait and relearning and properly writing a world and plot I'm doing silversong

Hmm let's see I think I started getting into drawing comics for friends and fun when I was 13...and then started posting them online at 15 So all together 12 years!

I did a series called "The Graveyard Girls" From age 15- 22 That was mostly gag-a-day and puns . and tried my hand at animation...but was super bad at it. No regrets!

and when I wanted to move onto something story-based started Pumpkin Spiced, moving some of the characters over, working on the art style, and a story to go with them.

I've been drawing for like, a year.... I think? But if it's drawing in general, I've been drawing since I was eleven, so around 8 or so years. A long journey, ahhaa. I think the stuff that really inspires me is manga - well, the influence is very obvious in my drawings, haha. My first serious project would be HERO.SYN, and I hope to continue this comic until its completion.... which is very far away oy vey.

My first comic had to be when i was around 8 or 9 It had the rayman style to it, the bodies where round with the legs feet and head floating around it! It was my very first comic and I made two books (one finished the other one half baked) before ending it, then i did puffles (Not the club penguin ones) when i was about 10 which never even reached one book but it was fun while it lasted, I could go on but then would be telling my life story!

Since middle school I would draw comics just for fun, they were all about me and my friends doing stupid stuff and one of my friends in the group did comics like that as well. It definitely made everything easier for everyone in the friend group all through middle school and most of high school because the bullying was really bad there.

i have been making comics ever since my i was 10~ i still remember the first full comic series i made called "maped vs. the pencils" which was a series of erasers in a full fleged war against pencils :< i still have the notebook i drew that relic in <3

years later after a few other comics i released oh the irony back in 2011! (yes my webcomic is really old)
you can see some remnants of that relic over here!

a few years of that i rebooted my webcomic last year to my current webcomic which is now what i call oh the irony! rebooted XD (well not reall but whatever)

I used to draw my own cartoon comics when I was in early elementary school, then I started manga when I was a sweet innocent little middle-schooler.
Everyone thought I was going to out grow it someday.
Well I proved them wrong! Heheheh!
