Also this is why I keep complaining about UBERNATURA it's a huge extensive amount of parody and very serious world building and intricacy. If I don't get help I might tone down a lot of the characters though..
for reoccurring I have 3 characters
Sorin- a very wealthy angel who is a complete brat
Zora- Sorin's chaotic mess of a demon matchmaker
Caspian- Sorin's annoying coworker who hired Zora. He reappears to laugh at Sorin right now we'll learn more about him later in the comic
as of now 13 of the characters (Minor and Major) have appeared in Tales of Beleben- Felix, Arnulf, Bruno III, August VI, Wilhelm, Sven, Angela/Johan, Tobias, Eneil, Thalia, Ubel, Mia and Samul VII.
9 more characters are yet to be seen/introduced but one of these will make an appearance in the next episode.
So that would be 23 characters in total and 14 major characters.
Just in comic. You can do "ever" if ya want. I know creators have to build up practice sketches before they commit to a comic (not me tho, my comic is the practice, lol)

I draw August A LOT. For no reason. I just love drawing him.
Actually idk if I love drawing him, but I do love it when he is drawn XD
His hair is kinda tricky and I always draw his head too big 
Dude I tried to be the creator doing all the practice sketches and stuff, but I got impatient and started a bit before I was ready. To be fair, when are we ever ready?
It depends on your goal.
There are styles that are not possible to achieve without training & theory
The good thing is that everyone has their own goals and has to judge that for themselves
+ there are some things which you can get better at by trial and error
I feel ya. I had some artistic training long before I started drawing, but I was new to drawing on a tablet(slippery and small size, and was using Ibis/Medibang), so I just bulldozed through my first few episodes. (my first ep took around 16 hours to finish, 8 hours of coloring). I actually was doing it just for me, no intention of publishing until about a few years later, just to see what would happen. My practice now is to just let the comic be the practice, and it's apparent when I hadn't drawn in a while, which is fine. It's my first comic, but it also feels like a personal art timeline/journal. It grows/improves with me, and that's worth starting, even if you don't feel like you're ready.
