This thread is inspired by this one https://forums.tapas.io/t/the-sketch-a-day-thread/514905 by @Legendofgenii, and the recent discussion about influences therein.

(There might be other threads like this one, but I can't find them, so here goes )

Post your ART, be it characters or settings in the style of works that you have been and are influenced/inspired by.

I’ll start by posting some pencils and I did way back in my early teens, of a character from a series that kind of is a self insert (heh heh), done in various art styles of the comic book artists of the 1980s. 1990s and 2000s, those have inspired me.

Would be fun if you could identify some of the artists that inspired this exercise I did back in 1995-98, probably before some of the folks here were even born.

I haven’t done this yet, but I’ll have a go later and post it here.:+1:

These are all brilliant. I don’t think I’ll know any of them (because I don’t actually read many comics :grimacing: ). I feel a bit bad about that.

My favourite is bottom row, second from the left.

I think it's a Paul Pelletier inspired sketch.

Here's the almost finished piece.

Gonna take a wild stab here and say...top row panel eight is in the style of Mark Bagley.

I'm an ignorant fuck, so all I see is a Cable face on the second to last drawing
