How many comics?

I think it's safe to say we all want to complete every story we've ever put an extensive amount of time into so...

How many stories do you have on deck to complete? Fully drafted or otherwise.

How many do you work on at the same time? This can be at any stage of working.

How many do you think you'll actually complete before you kick the bucket?

For me:

1: I've got three major stories and a few half formed ideas that I'd like to do.

2: Over the last 4 years, I've worked on my main project and a one-shot pretty consistency flipping back and forth between the two up until last year. Then I started working solely on my main comic as we are coming to the end. Now I'm working on the main comic and pre-production for my next long comic.

3: The reality is, I'll probably get two of my major stories done and that's about it unless I experience some major changes in my life situation. Fingers crossed for a miracle! LMAO!

So I finished my first story before I started here on Tapas 6 years ago. I finished my first story in 2019. There are two current comics (and more to come) that I plan on having remain long form continual comics.

Aside from that, I’m in the middle of working on a 10 episode miniseries that’s a limited story that’s set to release in April. I’ve already mapped out the beginning, middle, and end of the comic I had been working on since January. So like you, I’ve got a lot of stories on my plate. With a release schedule that I hope to God I commit to .

I´m doing one story at a time and currently writing one book, the first draft is done, and I´m on
page 34 of writing the first version of it. I guess it will have around 100 pages and then I illustrate
it, so it will be around 200 pages total.

I have to focus on only one story because I already have multiple creative projects at the same time beside
writing and drawing, I´m in 3 bands at the moment, and I´m the songwriter in all 3 bands

I only work on 1 long-form webcomic. I may have several future stories in same world in my mind tho.

I would want to finish my current series. If can't I want to at least finish 2 acts (around 15+ chapters) which can be compiled into a thick volume.

Just the one I'm doing right now. I have other ideas but they are just ideas, nothing fully formed.

I have 1 1/2 years left on the story I'm working on now. Book 2 of 3 are done. Each book takes about 1/2 a year. Each project I have in mind are about 1-2 years. So lots.

Techincially have completed 3 short series. 2 dowloadable NSFW short comics(30-50 pages) and one 10 episode scroll comic currently being uploaded on tapas and webtoon.

I have on incomplete very long comic still being drawn and having its buffer built so Im not sure how long that will take. Maybe years since its my baby.

I never work on any at the same time

Im not really sure how many I'll complete before death but we'll see

1: Can confidently say there's three that I'm set on making (whole stories set in the same universe and one has a side story that's like a prequel for one character) and then about three or four others that are kind of put together but i'd want to strengthen the plot before really committing

2: A lot of projects have been in the wip phase and for years at a time but for those main three I'm finally getting around to things like outlines, scripting and storyboarding/thumbnailing. but collectively these stories and the world they inhabit have been in development for about 5-6 years in terms of concepts for characters and general worldbuilding stuff

3: No matter what I'm determined to get those big three done especially since I've done all that I can to ensure that they're of reasonable length but still be fully realized and complete stories. Along with that is trying to build out resources to make the process easier and at least a little faster (right now it's trying to re-learn 3D modeling in blender to build "sets" for locations/settings in each comic). I know the future isn't guaranteed but I'll be damned if I don't get something out for myself at least

Two with a third that is a remake of a gag strip I did in university that I'm toying with.
Just one is being focused on and the others are just a collection of bits and pieces and concept art
At the rate I'm currently going, probably zero.

So... I got 7 finished, 3 ongoing, 1 waiting for redraw. A lot unfinished and abandoned
Which 3 finished collabs and 1 ongoing.

I don't work on everyone equally but I have my priorities.

I am mostly focusing on one. I do have my old series which I am not the fence about adding more, maybe if people showed more interest in it, IDK. I also want to make a comic for children but that is more in the preplanning stage.

Sort of 1.5. I was finishing up some stuff with my other series but now I am mainly focused on my new series.

Not sure...I already completed 3 webcomics and Crow's Worth, tho on hiatus, has the main story wrapped up. I do hope I make some progress on my kid's comic. For my current series, there isn't really an end, it's more like I work on it until I don't want to anymore.

I didn't even think to post how many I'd completed so far! Since starting in 2016 or 2017(?) I've completed 5 one-shots. Which is more then I thought I had ngl. Also had some false starts with other short projects before that and since starting my main comic. A lot of y'all are absolutely rocking stories out I'm so impressed!

Let's see ... there's bitwam, ATWWS, the sequel to bitwam [Dolly's Route], the sequel to ATWWS [Golden Child], and a video game version of God's World. So 5, I guess XD

I'm mainly focusing on bitwam, with my brain pulling me towards ATWWS and DR on a semi-regular basis. So I guess 3?

Depends on how you define 'working'; it could be anywhere from 1 (bitwam is the only one I'm actively trying to make progress on with intent) to all 5 (since I basically jot something down whenever something occurs to me, but GC and GW hasn't pinged my brain as much lately)

I feel like I'd finish bitwam and DR, and maybe kick the bucket halfway through ATWWS if I'm unlucky :'D

Well, I have 2 main ongoing (one of them is my first comic I started to draw... 16? years ago), and a really short side comic which has only one chapter left.
I have only 2 oneshot finished.

I used to work on them alternately, but currently I focus on finishing my first comic. As you can see I am really slow, but my goal is to at least finish the first one (hopefuly I can in 2 years)
I have a lot other idea, but I would like to make 2 of my planned comics, but I think I will not be able to make them , and I am also struggling with what to do when I will have children. I do not know how will it affect on drawing.

I've planned countless comics over the years, but I really only have 2 storylines that have any sort of development currently.

My main plan is to continue with my slice of life series "Signs Point to Bobbie", which I just recently launched here! Though I do have a romance/drama story as well with different characters that I may release in the future. Its kind of up in the air.

My plan with my current series is just to keep going as longas I can since it's a slice of life story lolol
