I'm a junior in college studying illustration and graphic design!

I've only been officially doing comics for about 8 months. My ongoing comic is here2!

Does grad school count as school? I'm currently in grad school for Astronomy/Astrophysics, and I started my current comic during my last year as an undergrad (got a Bachelor's degree in Astronomy). I like to suffer, apparently

I'm starting my Junior year at SVA on Sept 8th as a Cartooning Major. I've definitely value everything I've learned and the people I've met.

I'd really love to to get my BA in 2017 but honestly I'm not sure I'll have enough money for a Senior year.

Going back to school in January for Zoology.
I'm determined to pre-test above the requirement for math so I don't have to take it, while calculus would be interesting, I'd rather not.

Eheh, it's interesting to hear from all of you guys
Some of us are in school for things related to comics, and some of us are studying things that don't have anything to do with them xD
Reading how many people are doing illustration and animation are making me go "what is my life?" since I'm constantly wishing I could make comics for a living even though I'm a Psychology major

what is my life?

Hi. I am a Sophomore in a UC studying to either be a bio chem, macro biology, or molecular biology major. Still undecided, but thinking of entering medical school after I get my BS.

This is my comic right here Shadowed Life1 . I enjoy drawing in my free time. Technically I have had this story in development for two years and I finally decided to draw it.

Hello!
I'm currently a Computer Science Major at California State University of Monterey Bay.
This is my comic Nitou-Ryu1. This is my first time writing a comic so it's kinda rough in the beginning (^^;;)

You'd be surprised how much a seemingly unrelated field of study can help with anatomy, character and world building, depending on that individuals method of study. For me, Zoology could be beneficial for drawing animals, not only learning their anatomy through interacting and study but also learning their mannerisms and deeper biological stuff. I used to want to be a doctor, not only because it was something of interest but because I knew it would be spectacular help as far as human anatomy, illness and injury.
I can see how fields like psychology, archeology, astronomy, geology, etc can help with art and story/character/world building.

Sorry, I like babbling about stuff like this.

I'm studying art education, third year, and going to study some animation in exchange for this year year. I'm so excited about that!
My webcomic is Numb3

So when does everyone's semesters start? I move back on Sunday

Hi!

I'm a student as well. I've been making comics at my own pace (which was actually frequent!) but since I'm in uni now as a third year art major, I've been brought to almost a halt, haha.
Also summer had ended for me long ago! (I'm from a different country!)

Good luck on your school and comics!

11.9 so in couple weeks. Or more accurately that's when I move there. The university opens it's doors on 14.9.

Hi there! I'm an illustration student in Edinburgh, but can't always use my comics as part of my course, and have to put them on hold. I actually started off studying astrophysics, but quit to do drawing full-time after too many all-nighters doing comic competitions/lab reports all at once... for us, school starts back up again in 3 weeks

Yo I study Computer Engineering (it's my second degree actually, because I'm a masochist :/) and I have the last exam of my bachelor's next Monday, so my comic is on hold as I study feverishly. (Wish me luck!)

Ohh, when did you start classes? Where are you attending uni? By your use of the phrase "uni" I'm tempted to guess the UK, but I'm not sure

I am also a student and it's getting really pressurin' cuz I'm on my thesis year eeeeyyy

First year illustration student at ACCD this upcoming fall semester :')
I've been working hard on building up a buffer because I've heard from both faculty and students that the workload is HEAVY - as great as it sounds, I don't want to put my comic on the backburner!

Mm I guess that even how busy people will be will depend alot on what year they are/what they are focusing on in school

I'm in my final year of sixth form, going back next week! I have no idea if I'm going to have time for my comic but I'm going to give a page a week a try. :')
