Clicked 20+, but probably closer to 30 or 40+ tbh xD Most of them spawned from the comic project I worked on from middle school through college, which was basically a long form shonen manga style comic lol. There were 10 main characters, plus several unique villains and side characters.

Beyond that I also have "cartoon" versions of several of my friends that I consider OCs in a way, as they've evolved on their own into their own people too.

And various one-off characters in my doodles/short stories, etc.

How many of those I've drawn more than once varies though, so idk if they actually qualify as "official OCs".

Is there such thing as an official OC? Aren't they just OCs if you create them?

Not really, no xD The only differentiation I make in my mind is if I doodle a random character once and never do anything more with them, I don't really consider them an OC, per se. But they're like... the seedlings of ideas that I might return to someday, revisit for a new project, and grow into actual characters :]

I clicked 30+ because I think that would be number if I count the ones I have now. I used to have over 500 for rp purposes, but I don't rp anymore, so they're kind of... dead. o.o

Maybe someday I'll reanimate some of them.

At last count I had 94 original characters, starting with my very first self-insert that I created in middle school.

I had characters before that, of course, but I invented characters SO FREQUENTLY as a tiny shazz that I really would struggle to remember them all. xD

Some of the 94 are like... middle school characters that I don't plan to revisit/do anything with but they're still dear to me as a piece of who I was then. Some are D&D characters, some were once part of a story I was working on at the time, some are just characters I made for fun. I didn't include anyone that I couldn't remember (since obviously they weren't significant enough to stick with me), and I didn't include anyone that was just a name and design and not much else.

i only counted OCs that are named and im actually working on rn... i couldnt think of ten but guessed 10+

if it was like... every oc i ever created.......... thatd be........ a lot. but most of them are kinda dead

My filing cabinets are full...and since I'm mainly working on anthologies right now I utilize the backlogged ones as much as I create new ones.

I have tons of OCs. Some for my own stories and some from the fandoms I like. In fact, one of the things I judge a franchise or a fandom is by how easy it is to make an OC and slip it into the world because some are much more conductive to that sort of thing than others.

When I started my comic, POW! Right in the Nostalgia, it was originally a cast of 6 to be the main focus, but in four years, the cast (including minor characters) has grown to around closer to 30. O_o

And it keeps growing. >_<;;;

I've got over 1000+ that've been fleshed out over the years. I don't know the exact number, but I do know it's that much. I usually try to keep track of them all by organizing them based on the stories they're in. So far, most of the OCs I have are from one-shot stories.
