How many recurring characters does your comic have?

Right now I have 32 recurring characters in my comic with plans for many more. Is that a lot? I don't know honestly. How many recurring characters do you guys have in your comic?

I don’t have a specific number seeing as how most characters in my comics are important in their own respect. But there is a backlog of supporting characters for each character’s story, so I guess that would amount to at least 110 recurring characters overall.

I have very few characters, I guess? Around 10 I think yours isn't too much, mine that's too low xD I guess I should have more?

What do you mean by recurring characters? Is it characters that show up more than once despite being only background character designs, or characters that have some sort of interaction with main characters?

currently, 3 reoccur alive and in physical form. if we're not counting it like that, then 4, just about all characters with dialogue/faces from chapter one reoccur.
this is just from chapter one though, and i have a LOT of reoccurring characters later.

Just on BG characters (no names revealing) there's A LOT... 20~30 not counting story characters. My story stays a large part on MC's village and there's villagers interacting around.

It would depend on the narrative you're telling and location the reoccurring characters appear eg. a town, bar the main cast often visits or if they are in a tournament etc.

Going for about 4 seasons It's a Battle Royale and the reoccurring characters vary per season,
based on surviving Battle Royale participants, gangs tied to some participants, counter organization and friends/family of the heroes.
In season 1- has about 5 reoccurring characters, with 2 becoming part of main cast in later seasons.
Never counted the entire series, but total would be between 25-30.
Most get killed off some manage to hide away/escape

In Crow's Worth about 24-ish. Tho some of these characters only appear very briefly.

I sometimes worry I have too many characters. Like to the point where I have about 10 characters who were cut just because I wanted to trim down the cast.

8; 9 if you count a minor character that appears for literally 2 scenes

Wrt how many is too many; it depends on how often they reoccur imo (and how long your comics is :P). My comic could probably confortably fit 23 more of my 9th minor recurring character, but definitely not 23 more of, say, my final arc's antagonst (the one who plays the second smallest role out of the 9 :P)

At the moment I'm4 chapters in and have had only 4 characters appear over multiple chapters, but that will change because I have way too many characters that I refuse to sideline haha. So it'll end up being about 15-20 give or take

Oh ookay, well. The overall plan is for around 10 characters I think; Sometimes I use the same background characters but that's just cause I'm too lazy to come up with new designs
