How much time do you spend to make an entire comic page?

Anyway, can I just add to the question by asking what programs you guys use and if you notice any differences between how long it takes you with certain programs?

A page for Kamikaze takes us a week to complete mostly due to balancing day jobs. There's three of us on the team (otherwise it'd take waaaay longer to do). We start out with thumbnails and go from there. Our pipeline follows the animation pipline almost exactly: including full color backgrounds, modeling, vector builds, rough drawings, clean up drawings, ink, paint, effects, lettering and then compositing. It's so time consuming but WELL worth it for the results we get.

Definitely depends on style and setting. If you happen to be inside with plain walls that's an easy 20 minutes for planning and inking, another 10-20 for coloring and shading. I like to pencil and ink while at work.

Like a lot of people said depends on the style I'm actually curious to see how long it will take once I move to story related stuff. For now my gag strips take anywhere from 3 to 6 hours with a lot of dicking around in between. To be honest I probably keep working to find a simple but fun style so I don't spend an hour each time I draw a character when I do go to more story driven content.

My comic used to take roughly 10 hours per page, give or take a few hours.
Though these days it's closer to 20. I can't tell whether that's because I'm spending more time considering what to draw and redoing sections, getting used to new brush settings, or if it's down to the occasional pain in my hands from drawing all the time (as I work as a full time illustrator outside of comics).

Roughly 10 hours for me, as I try to adhere to a weekly schedule. I still try to find more time-efficient ways without sacrificing quality.

Most pages for Shadosassins will take me about 4-5 hours, especially if I've thumbnailed them. I've been trying lately to up my detail and quality so that number could be between 4-7.

It depends. If I already have a joke in mind only like 30 min to an hour. But If I cant think of anything, it could take up to 5 hours sometimes; give or take; & how many panels I use as well!. Suzzie Q

My pages usually takes a day or two, because of my job (and procrastination lol). It also depends on how you work your flow. (Meaning parts of the page are easier and faster to complete them some).
I don't know if its the same for you but when it comes to my back grounds I can get them done within an hour or two, but the people takes me about 5, depending on how much detail I use.
Example:

This page took me about 3hrs, which is a record for me but this one down below took me a day and a few hours to complete. In some cases I just reuse the same back ground. It saves me A LOT of time, lol.

Anyway, a fully coloured page of In Our Shadow, from go to woe, takes about five hours I'd say, depending on how many giant machines there are.

When I first started I was still using old timey sketch/ink/colour methods, and it took about a month to get a page out (I only get to work on it in my spare time, mostly before work).

But now I use a lot more 3D references for buildings, poses, vehicles etc, which has pretty much eliminated my need to sketch. I now go straight to inking and for the first time will be giving those inks to a flatter, so that should speed up my colouring too. Hopefully this should knock down my page time to a week or two depending on the backgrounds.

As you can see, I've got details for days.

Zenchav took half a day to a day to do one page when it was in BW, now that it's in color it takes me about two days to finish a page @w@ If it's an easy page though I can sometimes finish it in a day. Ideally I'd like to get it down to a day all the time so I'll have more time for other projects.

That's me too! XD Considering I'm using a "dumbed down" style for my comic it should take me roughly the same time you put for your pages but I get distracted a LOT as well. Like I'll draw a circle then wonder about something and check wikipedia about it, or I get a tweet and feel the need to reply immediately. Or I get lost on youtube.

How long I spend on a single page varies, it can take 8 hours if its a page just with dialogue, or 2 8 to 10 hour days working on the page. This usually occurs when I am working on a fight scene or an environment that is very complex.

It really depends on the page. Crowd scenes take forever.
In general, it could take from 5 to 10hours. I usually spend 2h a day for a page per week.
That's a lot of work but when you look back it's amazing!

Wow, your comic really have a lot of details. I'm trying to use 3D references for poses too (Manga Studio have 3D character models), but the background it's still very hard to make.

When I'm trying to learn new techniques or making a fully detailed image, it take me about 12 hours too. But the result is good.

For my comic it depends. Coloured pages take me longer.

Something like this might take me between 1 and 3 hours from start to finish (since I keep the art pretty simple it's not too bad)

Where as a page like this:

Might take 1-2 hours, rarely more than that from start to finish.
I find that the more accustomed I get to drawing on the computer the less time it takes thought (thankfully).
