I normally upload a few pages a week. However this quarter I haven't had classes and I'm returning to a college schedule soon.

So hopefully I can maintain doing a page a week at min once I begin classes smile

I'm finding it really REALLY hard to create a buffer to begin with ! Work and chores and life keep getting in the way and before you know it, another week has gone by with only another page done D:

I try uploading everyday but there will become a time i have to set a more basic schedule because I've already had pages done for one comic but it will soon go down. And I just put out a new comic that I will post every another 3 days to start bulking up on more comics to upload.

I'm a fulltime student, with a computer tech sidejob and another in retail, with an upcoming architecture internship aswell, as an ongoing video game collaboration I'm creating with a friend of mine, so.... I'm pretty busy ^_^' , But somehow I manage to hash out 2 comics a week: Hacheeachkee

When you make comics make sure you create a "buffer", for example, before I released my comic I built up 15 pages as a buffer that I could upload incase I was overworked one week, that way i wouldn't miss and update.

Unfortunately my buffer ran out, so I have to build that back up.

It's an interesting question and it's interesting to see the answers. When I started my comic I started with making 5 pages in 3 days and posted them as a full episode, but my wrist started to ache badly after a week so I decided to slow down and make 1 page per day. Though I would work 7/7 days, it seems there's always something happening irl that makes me skip one day of the week at some point, so I would say that I currently work 6/7.

This makes current stats given by people here:

pages/7 days-------people
1/7 ---------------------------- 3
2/7 ---------------------------- 5
3/7 ---------------------------- 2
6/7 ---------------------------- 2
irregular -------------------- 2

I'm jobless so I consider my comic, Singmire Haze3 to be my main activity and dedicate about half of the day to making the page. I don't have a buffer like Myl because I need stress to work, if I stop working because I have a stack, I fear I'll lose my pace because I'm anxious and prone to catastrophizing and shooting down my self-esteem for illogical reasons.
Same way, I have no written plot so it doesn't feel like omg I have so many pages to do. I have only a few ideas stored in a doc, and I write the script 5 pages per 5 pages, so to keep a pace in the narration. I find it nice because it gives me a lot of flexibility and I can even note down some ideas brought up by commenters for later use.

The only thing I've prepared ahead recently is a special picture to thanks people when I hit 100 subscribers, which should happen soon hopefully as I have 99 right now OuO

I try to update once a week, usually on Mondays. I know it's not as often as some other artists, but I'm very meticulous and I love filling my comic with a ton of detail, so it takes a lot longer to draw grin

I don't think that's a problem smile I tend to fall for (i need to get my comic out now!) so the detail and time put into each page tends to waver :-/

I normally update once or twice a week, usually on Friday and/or Saturday. High-school takes a lot of my time, but I always find time either during study hall or when I have free time in my other classes to work on it. Im also TRYING to work on a digital comic, but I think Im giving up on it before it starts... I personally dont know how the schedule is going to hold up over the summer considering most of my time at home is filled with work, chores, requests on deviantArt, and my daily scheduled role-playing on DA-Fight :/

Yes, time can't be stretched so it's all a matter of making choices. I informed my dA watchers that I would be much less active due to working on my comic, I also gave up RP, and now relax by playing Skyrim and modding it. I find this better so far, and I like the community here more than on dA.

I also work full time, so I make sure I have a really big buffer of pages before I start uploading. I spend, at the very least, an hour every day on comics. Because each page takes quite a while to make I'm uploading once a week. As long as you can keep the promise that you make to your readers, you should be ok. If you need to take a hiatus, try to get guest artists in. Or maybe upload some concept art or other art that you have, until you can come back.

For Perineal Circus, I (supposedly) upload once a-week, every Wednesday. I try to stay ahead of schedule about an episode or two, but sometimes I just break and post them all up. I have self-control issues stuck_out_tongue

Daily. But I can only do that because I have a comic I've been writing for 4 years. I'm adapting it for tapastic though (coloring black and white comics in and adjusting jokes) so it's semi new. I actually write new versions of that comic strip 3 time a week. I'll eventually catch up to myself.

I write another comic strip that I update once sometimes twice a week.

They are both relatively simple to draw. I try to set aside time to make them. It usually takes me around an hour total to write and illustrate 3 comics so I split that time up over the course of a few days(usually in the morning or evenings). I'll also occasionally binge on writing and do a bunch in one sitting.

I've dropped the pace to 3 pages per week so to have more time for other things, and because they tend to be more complex now than in the beginning. I've passed the 50 pages now since the beginning and that feels a bit wow, knowing that comic books are usually 48 pages long ^^

once a month when i have issues with my pc, once a week if everything is ok, 20-40 pages each time. I know is not the best way to be popular but i do this more for myself, for getting this idea out of my dreams and making it a reality, so it doesnt matter if it gets a lot of attention or not.

Three days a week, but I just draw a 4 panel slice of life so I guess that isn't super impressive :yum:.

I tried taking a hiatus but I can't seem to pull through on them. I'm supposed to be on one now, but I still have the urge to pick up a pencil for the most part.

I try to upload at least once a week.

But sometimes I redraw and rewrite scenes and as I have no buffer, this causes me to miss an update day.

I upload once a week( monday) I wish I could upload more than that, but it's just not a possibility at the moment :sob: One day though!:persevere:

We're updating our comic once a week on Fridays. We went back and fixed some of the problems with our comic and now we're updating it on tapas.Having a buffer is great but we've gone on hiatus a few times because of life. Excited for the summer so we have more time to work on the comic.

The first month I was posting I made a comic for every other day for a full month. Kept that up for a while and then went really... unstable for a while. I was posting comics for twice a week last month and haven't done a thing this month. Very erratic.
For new time comic makers I suggest building a queue. Make enough comics to post every day or every other day for a week or more. That way it keeps updating on the website and has a higher chance of being seen. Then set a schedule that works for you and go on from there.

Kudos to those that can update daily - I personally find that very difficult to produce a doodle (mine aren't even a full blown comic page) and upload it. Life exhausts you sometimes and you just haven't got the oomph to draw the smallest thing.

At the moment I'm new to Tapas so I am using it just as a highlight of my doodles thing - maybe once a fortnight? I'm not very sure how to go about it yet, but I feel like it would be better if I concentrated my efforts on my main website (via tumblr).

I understand that some people upload their comics via several channels but I'm not too sure if that is for me.
