How soon did you get 1k followers?

How does it work? Well to start us off, we've changed the Primetime Program to just being Ad Revenue Program (here's a blogpost). I mean, basically, if you generate $25 worth of ad revenue in a given month, you get $25 and that's all you need to do to join the program. How difficult is that? Well, you'll need some foundation to get you started, which is why we recommended garnering at least 1,000 subscribers as it would give you a good start on your road to generating revenue.

no theres a chance! dont be depressed. one of the best ways to start getting views is to be consistent with the upload schedule and to be a part of the community and share your work anywhere you can. once you are consistent sooner or later you'll start to get a following and also another good way is to go to any small comic convention and make a business carrd and start selling your work and give a business card everytime you sell something or just give it away to everybody you see.

Wish I can go over a comic convention, but I'm over here so far away in Asia. So sadly, promoting a comic by comic convention means, is out of the window for me.

Not to brag or anything, I just reached 5k in under 2 weeks. I think it's all about promoting yourself and your work, producing great content, and constant updating. I also think it's about luck too, you just have to be there at the right time and place.

Beginners luck! Haha I kid , congrats though for your comic. Though sometimes I guess it's mostly luck. I've seen people promote themselves for years in every way possible, and they've only gotten as far as the average creator.

Honestly, I haven't reached my thousand mark and I dont think I will but it's ok because the amount of followers you have doesn't necessarily reflect you as an artist. I have seen great comics and great artists with less than 20 followers. Keep on uploading and keep on drawing because if it makes you happy you should keep doing it. "hahaha thats so cheesy" yes. yes it is. Its a cheesy truth but you know what? I like cheese.

Huzzah! My wee comic Intense Procrastination managed to reach my first 1k views this week!
Having not promoted it elsewhere I can only assume all views have come from those passing through the site.
I started in April of this year but I have no frame of reference so I don’t know if I should be proud or disappointed.
Think I shall default to proud, as this is the more enjoyable emotion.

Of course, for all I know they are all a bunch of webbots and misdirected people hunting for porn or shoes or MeaningOfLife.
