Hi!! I know that drawing improves with the time, I would like to see how did your main character was when you first started your comic and how does it looks now! This mine, his name is Connor and this is a comparative between the chapter 1 and 4.
My main character Rukia when I started the revised version of the comic, compared to my present version.
I still have a very long way to go, but I'm proud of my progress as a writer/artist.
I really like it!!The colors!! omg i love it!!
Then:
Now:
As you can see, absolutely nothing has changed over the last year for me.I don't know if that's a good thing because my art style is consistent or a bad thing because I'm not improving.
probably it will improve if you stop copying and pasting the same drawing with different expressions XDLike, you are not even trying, I can see that is the same drawing. However, if it's what you like I think is great
Thank you very much, it takes a lot of work to color the comic nowadays but I don't regret it, especially after the good reception the color style received when I started using it. I typically only get one page a week in because of how much work goes into the pages atm. If I did a bit more crunch time I could probably squeeze two a week lol.
My two mains Isaac and Logan from Icebreaker have changed a little bit in the past 10(?) months.
They went from VERY inconsistent faces with wonky lines and a poor try at cellshading:
To more line-confidence with just flat colors. They're still a bit inconsistent, but it's gotten better... Especially their hair, I've gotten a lot better at drawing their hair consistently :')))) I still suck at drawing hands though haha. But I mainly focussed on making better backgrounds and better colorschemes, so you'll see more improvement in that haha.
-looks at my old art--screams of agony-
Welp here's my Galebound MCs :'D The art's come a loooooooooooooooooooooooooong way in a year.(geez louise looking at some of my old pages actually made me mad xD MUST FIX)
Aaaand lemme hit you with a mild spoiler from a couple pages in the future to show where they're at now accurately
for my SPIRE characters
blaises face got longer
victor upgraded to Premium Soft Dad. was originally a self centered asshole that was super abusive towards william and angry all the time. trashed that and gave randall a kind of watered down self deprecating version of his old personality (minus the abuse towards others)
The Kids are the same but drawn betterand:3c
jack was originally supposed to be kind of stuck up and smug but it was trashed for a more youthful inexperienced attitude
i also just realized i have too many main characters but these are the ones with the most screentime so far
Here is the difference between my main characters, Redd and Indy, in the first page vs. the second latest page! (I had been slow getting pages done with school and such, but I'm starting to get new pages done quicker).
Mike and Gerald In the first chapter:
Currently
Here's an enlarged shot of Sanori from page 2, AKA "augh aaa my eyes":
...And here's Sanori that I drew just now:
The first few pages of this comic were drawn way back in 2008, so there's definitely a noticeable difference, lol.
Well, My main characters (Nem & Marcus) in the original NSE
Both of them in chapter 1 of the reboot.
And in latest chapter, chapter 4
also neither had any discerning personality in the original one. They just existed for the homo
Ron and Roxy from Cosmos Song then and now:
My main character, Celeste Artemis, who I created 20 years ago. Then 1997
Now (December 2016)
My current version of my comic is still very new (just past 2 months being online!), but the first time I experimented with making my story into an actual digital webcomic was years ago - so I'm going off that. Two of the main characters of my webcomic Those of Fate then and now!
Kiyomi and Seth! Man Kiyo's hair definitely got longer haha
I haven't started my comic yet but the main character that changed the most is probably Olive! She started out as a Stardew Valley OC about a year ago, and looked like this the first time I drew her:
Now she's one of the main characters in the story I'm writing and looks like this!:
Wow, there are some awesome improvements here!
I also want to show you mine : )
My first page a year ago >_<
The redrawn verson I did a month ago : )
Mappy and Kimi in the first unreleased U-Speed comic.Mappy and Kimi in the recent pages that they're together inU-Speed part 6
Crow Worth from 3 years ago vs. how he looks now.He is now boxier but also a bit more masculine. His hair also makes no sense....which is a good thing (no one's hair in my comic makes sense). I also noticed there is a mistake in that 2nd pic (note to self, fix that in the comic)
Miss Oh from 3 years ago vs. how she looks now.She ended up also becoming a bit more masculine (oops). She also looks older which is sort of a good thing because I was sort of worried I made her look too young (she's 36).
