I’ve been using a platform called CxC .
Although the main creators and activities there are primarily in the Chinese-speaking community, the site also supports multiple languages, and there are a few foreign creators who have joined. You can publish comics, novels, illustrations, or audio content on it.
Pros:
●Diverse monetization options: Supports chapter-based payments, subscriptions, and tips (donations). You can also do joint subscriptions for cross-domain collaborations. The barrier to entry is relatively low: registration is free, and once you complete real-name verification, you can start charging. Overseas creators can also apply. I’ve heard the official team is also preparing ad exposure revenue sharing recently.
●R18-friendly: It has a complete rating system and a high degree of creative freedom. Adult content can be operated normally.
Cons:
●The market is mainly Chinese-language focused, so international exposure and the English-speaking reader base are relatively small.
The platform itself is still quite new and hasn’t been around for long, so the number of active users isn’t very high. I just checked: about 450,000 members, with around 800,000 unique monthly visits. Content volume: about 140,000 works (novels ~50%, comics ~40%, illustrations ~10%).
●The website is currently rather slow, and it can sometimes be extremely slow during peak hours.
