Hello, I am an artist that is mostly versed in traditional art. I have recently taken up digital art as I am hoping to grow a but more so that I can eventually make a webtoon or comic online. It feels perfect since my two favorite things to do at write and draw. However, I have difficulty sometimes with finding references for certain poses. I know you could just take a photo of yourself in that pose but I am not a huge fan of that. Are there any applications or website that are free where you can pose a character? Or maybe a collection of poses that had more variety? I'm not really sure what is out there for those. If anyone could help I would greatly appreciate it! Thank you in advance!

If you download Blender(it is a free 3D software) and a rigged character, you can pose it as you want.
Just watch a tutorial about Animating in Blender. You will not need most of its part, but you can try searching just after "posing character in Blender" as well.

so there's a variety of methods but after a quick google search i managed to track these down

this one is the same as the mobile app but has a desktop version here1

essentially the same thing as magic poser just a different UI and toggle options

actually not to sure on this one but it seems to have a variety of things for posing and objects references

there's probably some more out there but a bit of research never hurt :yum: hope these help

I go to Pinterest and type 'body pose sketches' or 'facial expressions sketches'. I can usually find what I am looking for.

I do try Pinterest. I always have it open in a tab on my computer. But I can't always find exactly what I need. Thank you though!
