Hello readers or fellow community members. I've recently started writing a fantasy novel of my own (have not published it yet). I'm currently stuck on gathering information for it like Different professions, races/ advanced races, mythical beings, items, special races relating to races, sound effects that can be used in novels etc... Furthermore, I am planning to collect as much as information as there is. I've currently made spreadsheets regarding the ones I know of below. If you know or come across anything not in the topics of the spreadsheets below while reading novels/mangas/webtoon. Please reply with the ones and also if there are any correction to the info of the existing ones please also do state it.

Places: (special places belonging to specific races, like great forest for normal elf)

I listed down everything I know. If you know any more or come across one that doesn't exist in these, do reply with them. Also, feel free to ask me any questions you have.
Note: ? (question mark in the sentences means I'm not sure about that specific info)

I feel like you could profit a lot from reading some mythology? The world is wide and depending on the country you will find loads of different creatures more or less known. Maybe you can focus on particular category/mythology or world to base your novel?

Yes, I'm also reading quite a few currently. It would be also nice of you to provide some of your personal recommendations. I can read them next.

Your fantasy creatures are all over the place. You are sort of mixing a lot of different cultures. I am not sure what direction you are going but it can be a bit odd because some of these creatures overlap.

Vampires are undead. Undead are creatures sort of caught in a limbo between living and not living. Zombies are also undead.

Ghosts and spirits are the same thing. If by spirits you mean wisps, that is just a subset of ghosts.

Orcs, ogre, and oni are sort of similar but vary because of culture. And trolls can also be clumped into there depending on what kind you use. But I have also seen people use goblin-like trolls, which means those two can be clumped together. EDIT: Some people are saying orcs are a Tolkien invention and are connected to goblins.

Isn't a merman a merfolk?

I can't really help in the creatures category as I know very little about them. What I would personally do is focus on one myth/country/area and then work with it. They can merge with eachother but reading the post above by @NickRowler I feel like this is what you need. To start with something and then extend with another species that fit your world.

Yes, That's the reason I made a post. I need help with ordering them as well as gathering more information on each topic. Anyway, thank you for your information. I'll correct them.

The main genre of the novel I'm working on is fantasy and LitRPG, so I need to add different places and species.
