I want to draw your DnD or comic characters!

For a long time now, I have aspired to create artwork for Wizards of the Coast. Don't know who they are? They are the creators behind Dungeons & Dragons, Magic: the Gathering, and more. If you've ever seen the official Wizards of the Coast art, you'll know just how lofty of a goal this is. Nonetheless, I would like to submit my portfolio to them (Yes, they are hiring), but there's just one problem...

My portfolio is not very good.

Now, it isn't that I'm not confident in my ability, it's rather, that I don't think my current examples are up to par with the standards of Wizards of the Coast. Mainly, I am HORRIBLE at coming up with fully-detailed scenes/backgrounds.

Anyway, this is where you come in: I want you to share your characters here, with a scene in mind—this can be a funny, interesting, or epic story moment involving them or a strange/amazing power they have. While DnD characters would be nice, any cool fantasy or sci-fi characters will work. So here's your chance to get some free art!

Rules

1. Comment with your character(s) and the scene you envision. Please be as detailed as possible in your descriptions.
2. Visual references would be awesome, but not wholly necessary. You may simply post a description if you aren't an artist. I play DnD, so feel free to leave the names of spells, or specific stats, or whatever.
3. You may not use these artworks for commercial purposes (i.e. anything that makes money). You are, however, allowed to use it on your websites/social media with credits to me as the artist. I will be using these artworks on my social media accounts and online portfolios. And I may use them for prints later down the line as well, but we'll see.
4. I won't be able to draw everyone's requests, as much as I wish I could. This is not on a first come first serve basis. I will be selecting characters/scenes that inspire me to create good artworks.

NOTE: I am not really looking for critiques, just practice. If you leave a critique, likely I won't respond to it.

The goal here is to improve my ability to set the scene. While working on a comic of my own has helped me in this endeavor a great deal, I still don't think I'm ready to submit to Wizards of the Coast just yet.

I'm not sure what kind of scenes you'd be looking for to use in your portfolio, but i'd be happy to help! I think I do have a scene which contains a few elements you can use for your portfolio!

Here are a few references, my style is a bit more on the anime-ish side as opposed to your more realistic style. I think you could make good use of the stormy weather in the background though.

Scene: the scene involves the main character Andrew and a red sea serpent known as the Leviathan. Using his father's inherent power, Andrew faces the large sea serpent in combat. Whether Andrew uses the attack shown in one of the references would be up to you! The background would have a dark, clouded sky and horizon and a rough sea.

My Character is the Main Character from my Webtoon.
He is a Grim Reaper and his name is Shin. he is always a bit disinterested in everything and slightly overworked, but he never loses his humor.
When it comes to saving souls he is very serious.
The scene: He stands with his scythe in a slightly dirty street at night in the rain. my webcomic takes place in seoul, so you can use asian street pictures as reference if you want.

My D&D character is the world's dumbest Aarakocra, I don't think you'd want to draw her. If you threw a rock at her, she'd probably eat it. Anyway, great looking art what you've currently got. Really looking forward to seeing more from you!

I have a character with a scene from my story Angel Warriors: The Book.

Here's the scene with descriptions of the character:

Meanwhile, ladies wearing night like gowns enter the royal ball.

The guests are mesmerized by the wondrous lengths of the ladies’ charcoal hair and eyes darker than black.

Their skin shimmers like the moon’s light, and their hair so raven even by all the chandeliers above them.

But there is one who grabs the most attention, a girl with tiger hazel eyes, and with the darkest-inky hair. But as you look at her close, her eyes have some traces of slight sapphire.

All of the royal family at the ball are fascinated by their grand entrance.

(It's okay with me if you choose to draw only the girl with striking colored eyes and not the other girls with her. But if you like to draw them, too, it's also okay with me.)

You can choose which scene and character you like to draw whether the first one about the entrance of Night Warriors, or this scene the transformation of an old man turning into a Night Warrior.

The old man stands up and turns into his real form, a young Night Warrior with cat-like eyes of emerald green. He has a prominent jawline. His clothes turn into an angel’s battle clothing.
He takes off his tied-up hair that shows his curly locks of dark black. "I’m a Night Warrior.”

The male Night Warrior is at an old library where he kept the book called Angel Warriors.
Also the angel battle clothing will be similar to the archangels like Archangel Michael.

This is a short info about the story to help you know what a Night Warrior is in my story:
The Porcelain Angels and Night Warriors live together. They are both good angels whose sworn duty is to protect the civilians of Earth from the dark, fallen angels.
The fallen angels desire is to eliminate the human race.
But as long as both Porcelain Angels and Night Warriors are working together, the evil angels plan for destruction will not happen soon.
The Porcelain Angels are kindhearted and brave. They are the guardians of the day.
The Night Warriors hearts are as beautiful as the Moon. They are the guardians of the night.
They live with Mortals so that they could protect them from being killed rampantly by the fallen angels.
The Porcelain Angels and Night Warriors will do everything even sacrifice their own lives to keep humanity safe from the evil that lurks around.
Nothing can change the truth that The Porcelain Angels and Night Warriors are known to be as Angel Warriors.

Ahh I have the perfect thing (I hope). This is from ond of my actual games of DnD. I'm going to apologize I don't remember the correct dnd terms and classes/races off the top of my head right now (im a dnd newb). But if you like this scene I can check all the race and classes and stuff. PM me and I can be way more descriptive if you're interested.

The overarching story is that the characters crash on a new planet, and with the aid of Wesweed the portable spaceship a.i. (the DM's in game assist, no pictures sorry), figure out why people are disappearing and fear some god. They visit a small town, and investigate it's religion. One of the chars, 80XY (boxy, a robot melee/warrior) gets aggressive with his questioning of the priest, trying to get answers about the god they worship. The townspeople don't want to talk about the god they fear and Boxy forces a little info out of the priest. As the characters leave town, the sky darkens, the ground starts shaking, and a great storm completely levies the town and kills all the people, to the surprise of the characters. The god had struck, punishing the town for their moment of disbelief. The session ends. The scene would be the characters' reactions at the falling town in the background.

DM: Are you guys happy!? My town! I didn't expect to have to destroy it! Maybe this can be reflected in the AI robot somehow.

80x-y aka boxy. A robot fighter, very aggressive and direct. Rxn "oh. Oops."

Oko, a magical floating eye with a hat. Values knowledge. Very calm and logical. Maybe show an ! In her eye. "Oh no did boxy's pushiness cause this?"

Barnaby, a gnome barbarian that likes weed. Very chill. Rxn "what the ***!? I gave some of those ppl my weed! (In exchange for info)"

Vhininin aka vhinny. A high level demon cat sorcerer in humanoid forn that is super lazy and doesn't fight at all unless his fun is threatened or he's offered food. He wasn't there when they interrogated the religious sect. "Ahahahaha this is great! What did you guys do? Can we do this at every town?"

So my character is from my book Lady Death. The main character is Railynn. She is a fae. Here is her description and a few character illustrations of her already.

I really want her to have the leopard behind her. The leopard is black with navy blue spots. Kind of like the first character illustration, but I want her face to be more like the sketch on the first panel.

How about a closeup of Mildred Hemmons Carter, one of the first African American pilots to serve in the Civil Air Patrol? She had a legendary love story. Because she and the man she eventually married weren't allowed to date... on the ground, anyway, they agreed to meet each other in the air. He'd fly whatever aircraft he was testing. She'd be in her Piper Cub, a simple, single seat, single engine propeller plane (it being World War II, jets weren't widely flown). As they passed each other, she'd blow kisses and wave. I think it would be neat to show her doing just that through the cockpit window of her plane.

I have 7 characters, i will put as much as details i can, draw any you like!

1. Allen - he is around 13 yrs old. Average height not so tall not so short either. Golden hair - super smooth and silky like if wind blows you could probably see his every single hair blowing with it. Blue eyes and always that air of confidence around him. Fair skin color. always goofing around no interest in politics or warfare even though is a prince. Lives in mountains. kingdom is on top of a mountain.

2.Maya - A tall beautiful girl with green eyes and long black hair. is a bit shy but is caring and loving. white and around 15 yrs old. kind hearted. Daughter of a village chief so always pampered, never really had to anything so does not know a lot of stuff and always messes up whatever she is doing. A bit clumsy i guess. lives in far north where it snows a lot and is in between mountains.

3.Selina - White, 16 yrs old, haze color eyes and golden hair color. A noble but unlike Allen she hates commoners. Cunning, smart and known a lot about politics. Have high dreams of becoming a queen.
lives in the capital of a country and is a normal ground level.

4.Aryan - a goofy kid around 12 yrs old. Brown hair color, black eyes, fair skin color. Short height but extremely athletic. Is a thief from such a young age. Lives is town in a desert. is really smart when it comes to fighting.

5.Luke - Is a slave working on a farm. A bit tanned skin color. athletic physical body for a 14 year old. Brown eye color. short hair, tall has that intimidating look.

6.Claudia - Fair skin color, Brown hair, grey eyes. Average height, works in a bar and cooks. 17 years old. is always saying sorry type and also the mother type. cries easily.

7.Ray - is a depressed kid only 11 yrs old. he lives in a farm, no parent is treated badly by people whose farm he lives on but he still smiles and tries to be happy. due to incident when born blood got into one of his eyes and its color is red and that is his left eye and has scar that starts from his left side of forehead and i wide and as it comes down its gets less wider and at the point about nose height on left side of his face is where the scar ends. Its like a opposite triangle.

that will be all. not i am not a native English speaker so if i said something that sounds weird so please note that was not my intentions its just that i know very less words to describe certain things.

Here are some ideas I think you might like from my superhero webcomic The Power of Stardust.

MTG has a lot of angels. A LOT of angels. So I imagine you'd want to get practice drawing different kinds of angels. Power of Stardust has the Lorians who are angels that live within, not above, their world. It's hard to tell in the art because its black and white, but the Lorians are made of a bronze-like metal. They are grown in pieces in the earth of their planet and dug up and assembled by other Lorians.

Lorians have a fondness and appreciation for nature. Birds nest in their metal wings. They clothe themselves in simple furs and robes. They are as much at home in a tree as they are in a cloud.

Every Lorian is born with an inner spark, and after three hundred or so years of life each Lorian feels the urge to ignite that spark. Doing so eliminates their natural immortality but transforms them into a living starship. Their wings become like solar sails. Their eyes become capable of navigating light years. Space itself becomes their sky and they soar on cosmic waves to find a barren planet on which to burn themselves out upon and die seeding the planet with their ashes and giving it the potential to grow new Lorians.

The scene in mind would be a Lorian turning to a bird building a nest between the gears of her wing and stroking it with her finger.

Another kind of angel comes from the Vril-Ya, a race adapted from the 1871 sci-fi novel Vril: The Power of the Coming Race.

The scene would be one or a couple standing at attention ready for battle.

The Power of Stardust has a lot of cool scenes and characters that would make great practice for magic cards--wizards, giant dragons made out of energy, star-headed creator gods, etc. Feel free to draw anything in the comic that catches your fancy.

I actually had a couple characters I would love to have drawn, but if I had to pick 1. I'd say my
Changeling Wizard/Hexblade Warlock named Zepar. He wears kind of fancy dark purple robes with plenty of gold designs, he also usually has no shirt and his chest is bare. He has short, slightly spikey white hair, is clean shaven with boyish features. His eyes are kind of blood red, and the sclera of the eyes is black instead of white, and his skin is super pale. Also he wields a vorpal longsword and has a special staff. Here's a picture of the staff:
