I've been drawing since I was like 4. I put the time in, read tons of books, went to school for it, and I still am mediocre at best. When I see older or younger people that just started art that looks more technical than mine it used to frustrate me. Then one day I just accepted this is the way I draw and my potential is limited at best and that's ok. It's made art a lot more enjoyable for me.
And besides if you're worried about art not looking good enough, just remember that there are stick figure comics on the internet that make insane amounts of money for some reason. I would not be too worried about aesthetics in this contemporary/postmodern/whatever they call it era. People are way more into concept than aesthetics than ever before (this is based on my own personal fine arts background).
